About Dude Dad:
Hi! I'm Taylor Calmus, a rural South Dakota born and Colorado-based actor/comedian. I started Dude Dad© two weeks before my son Theo was born as a way to stay creative while learning to be a father. My wife Heidi and I now have 4 kids and over 500+ videos. We also have a TV show on the Magnolia Network called Super Dad. My purpose for the channel is to entertain, enlighten and inspire.

I can confirm, as a Texan I can count the number of times I have used my heated seats on one hand.

I’m a Texas girl and my heated seats are on even in the Summer. Well until it hits 100 then everyone has heated seats whether you want them or not. LOL

I think you meant, going to the store to buy bread and milk and weren't fast enough as the shelves were bare

No one drives to the store. You must be from north of Virginia

I grew up outside Chicago then moved to Colorado Springs. I’m now in lower Alabama. It recently got to 19 degrees and everything shut down. Just not equipped for that here!

My grandma just had to move to Texas with my aunt; and she lived in Ohio her entire life. We live through the snow. Even when we have an extreme storm. She sent me a text saying all stores; businesses... EVERYTHING shuts down if there's snow at all. I was like wtf.

Grew up in the mid-west. Live in CO now. Spent 8 years in Houston. It was hilarious to me how people reacted to the mildest winter weather. Below 60, better get out the down puffer coats, gloves, and beanies. Frost on the ground, run to the store and buy out all the French Toast ingredients - eggs, milk, bread. Snow - cancel EVERYTHING! Snow accumulating on the ground. Curl up and die in the corner bc it's the end of the world. Meanwhile I would dig my fleece hooding out of the back corner of my closet and go about my life like a regular person who knows that snow happens.

That's how everyone here in Silver City, NM act...😂😂😂. I'm from Oregon, so it's very entertaining to watch everyone down here every winter. Hehehe😂😂😂

Colorado native. Now in Oklahoma through military. No problems with snow or slush no matter how deep, it’s the ice and humidity (dry heat/cold different in Colorado). Already been through two ice storms this year. With single digit temps for days prior to the slightest amount of precipitation, causes life threatening situations. I am fortunate enough to have a job that will authorize remote work so I don’t have to risk getting out and possibility of falling, car accident or worse. Having to deal with an injury, car insurance, repairs etc isn’t worth it. Plus I can’t control the other yahoos who think it’s okay to go normal speeds during these hazardous conditions. Yes, I know how to stock up early enough with all my comfort groceries for the long haul, just in case. It’s no different then preparing and stocking up before the typhoons in Okinawa.

This is an understatement. Not even satire. We moved to a burb of Atlanta and it snowed. My husband came home from work 3 hours late. There wasn’t accumulation on the freeway, but people were just stopping their cars in the middle of their lane and walking to hotels. They didn’t even ‘risk’ pulling onto the shoulder

I remember something similar when I moved to San Diego from Ohio, only rain instead of snow (I was on the coast. The mountains were a different story.).

Y'all, the overreaction in TN is real. I'm in Knoxville, 8" of snow in one storm chased by a layer of sleet. we see 4" a year and only have 3 plow trucks. the only thing I see different from your vid is half the town NOT pulling out the shovel and just waiting for the city to do it. The smart neighborhoods put a dozen folks together with shovels, picks and garden hoes like a chain gang!
