While I did end up doing the horribly cheesy song that's just as 'perfect' as the two love-birds in the short, I had this originally as a fun little out on a date experience song. While I'm proud of the hair-band song that finally made it, I'm also a fan of this track. My main inspiration was the scene in Wall-E when he goes on his mini date with Eve. Thomas Newman's score really sold the gag.
The title (as it appears in the video still) is Portuguese for 'The Perfect Couple', my apologies if it's not entirely grammatically correct. But being a fan of different world styles and music theory in general, I enjoyed the challenge of the Brazilian style and had a good time recording it.
So find that significant other and grab a pick-nick basket. Because with this song on loop for hours on end, you'll certainly feel like date night is a great night.
