Bundles is an experimental feature already I think there should be 1 or 2 redemption vote(s) that runs along with mob vote, with the redemption vote(s) working the same as the mob vote, just with the old mobs, it'd probably start from the 2nd most votes of oldest to newest

I think they’re intentionally opening up the possibility of adding mobs who lost previous votes because it saves a lot of time. They already have the concept so they can start developing it. It isn’t “lazy” either, it’s just better because it adds more features to the game and makes people who really wanted the added mob happy.

I've got the suspicion that there's not many people working on actual Minecraft updates, with the large majority of Mojang employees working on dlcs and/or spinoffs, AND considering how it's harder to make stuff for the actual game compared to making mods.... I think it should be obvious where my thoughts go.

The vote was also open for 48 hours, which allowed Minecraft players from all around the world to participate even if they wouldn't be awake during the actual Minecraft Live event. Looking at East Asia in particular.

TheMisterEpic did a breakdown. tl;dw-someone wrote a script to submit bogus votes, and the log dumps show that they used it to put in 5MM votes for the Armadillo. Given that the vote tally wasn't anywhere close to that, it's very plausible that Microsol never actually recorded those fraudulent votes.

wow it's almost like the wolf armor mod has around 20 million downloads and is popular, and is better than 1 reach of building only. People don't just care for the utilities, crab lovers say that people are only voting for wolf armor but u guys complain that ur not getting an extra 1 reach, without utilities all mobs would be bland, most of you crab lovers voted for the reach, the reason penguin was disqualified instantly was because of bad utility. Armadillos live in the savanna which has basically NO biome specific mobs or features and just feels bland. Adding a new interesting feature to it is better than most other biomes.

The reason I voted for armadillo is so that we could hopefully get a unique mob in the badlands biomes. They just seem so lifeless and adding even one mob will make them a little more interesting

I didnt vote but i genuinely thought that the armadillo was the best choice out of all three. More people use wolves for combat than you think, and even more would use them if they had armor. Extended reach is something very little have asked for. There are many things that dont take much effort to compensate for a lack of reach.

Also I 100% agree, especially since the crab-claw will only spawn in mangrove swamps, which can be thousands of blocks away, making them a lot more of a time-waster than a time-saver.

The reason it feels soulless is due to the combination of it being scripted and the fact that these are developers, not actors. An actor can make a script feel alive, all they are doing is reciting words the same way an AI / text to speech bot might.

Redstone was kind of stagnating in the last years. Don’t get me wrong, it all was impressive with the small computers and etc. But new concepts were hardly introduced. The crafter opens up a whole lot more possibilities for farming and it WILL change forever how we play.

The sheer scale of this one block will literally change the entire redstone community. Food crafting is just a tiny piece of the pie. Pun absolutely intended. Seriously though, I wouldn't be surprised if this opened up the possibility of fully automated crafting of almost anything in the game.

Probably because having your hair open can be really annoying. I had hair like that too and i usually tied it together because otherwise it would just... float everywhere and get in the way. Especially when you're sitting at the computer you sometimes lean on your hair without realizing it and then you hurt your scalp and neck when you try to move your head. There is absolutely no way that the copper golem doesn't get added in 1.21. They announced so many new uses for copper and stated numerous times that they would add the mob vote losers when a good opportunity would come up. If they don't add them here, they are never getting added.

Technically, the frog was part of the Biome Vote not the Mob Vote, and for the Biome Vote, they did say all would be added, but for the first Mob Vote, they said only the winner would be added and the rest would be scrapped, they have never said, during a Mob Vote, that the losers wouldn't be scrapped, only during Biome Votes so....their wording doesn't really add up

This Live reminded me of an algebra class I took years ago, the teacher tried so hard to make the class interesting with chipper tone and a range of other things (I still have the jingle she used to burn the quadratic equation into my head) but ultimately that just made the class feel more boring and you can't help but to feel bad for her. The reason that I voted for the armadillo is because, even though the crab claw would have been quite a bit cooler than wolf armor, I have never found a mangrove swamp (or even a normal swamp) in any of my worlds. But I've found so many savannas that it had started to get pretty annoying. so really, if the crab spawned on beaches, then my vote would have 100% been on the crab (I am still sad that we won't have crab rave).

Currently minecraft live feels more like some gameplay/acted movie instead of a stream. What minecraft live really unique were the devs taling about the update and the very detailed reasoning about it. The way they communicated also felt like **you were there, with them in the same room**. To be honest I miss those days. I also recently found out from a youtube video that they enitrely scrapped real life events and also have banned real life minecraft events? What made minecraft always stand out is their relationship with the community but now it is starting to fall apart. I have to admit we as a community (some of us) aren't better with that (like the mass hate towards the devs).

Armadillo voter here with my explanation on why I voted for it. Ever since scaffolding was added I never found myself saying, “Man I wish I could reach farther.”. But I also don’t usually take my dog out on dangerous adventures. So I mainly voted armadillo mainly for customization that goes farther than dying the collar.

That's what I was thinking too. People don't necessarily want to make using wolves in combat more practical, they just want wolves to be more like horses- can have its own armor, has multiple variants, has different stats and you can breed them to get a super horse (which is a cool option for late-game pet project, literally), I personally just want a wolf refresh

There are nine banded armadillos where I live. They make ruts in the yard, and kill small plants. Also, they carry leprosy. Also, if you drive over one, they jump once they realize there’s a car (their sight is terrible), then they jump, damaging the underside of your vehicle. Also, their shell makes them very difficult to “deal with,” especially in a semi rural area, where you cannot use powerful firearms. They are annoying on a variety of levels. (I know the three banded ones are the rolling ones, and they don’t carry leprosy, but whatever)
