John was my professor at Adelphi. My last year was his first year there, and I could not have been more fortunate and blessed that our paths crossed. In my opinion, he has completely transformed the Exercise Science program there. He has taught his students, including me, the correct and proper way to lift, train, and progress. Too many programs out there have students graduating without knowing how to teach a lift or even doing one for themselves. I firmly believe the students there now have a big advantage in their future, both professionally and personally, if they take advantage of his help and guidance.

I'm a belgian physiotherapy student. This vid has been in my 'watch later' tab for a while now. I new it was going to hurt watching this, just as the 'is physiotherapy a fraud' video. BUT (!) everything that was said in these videos is exactly how I feel about the matter. And a lot of my fellow students don't give a damn. In my 5 years of studying we haven't learned jack-shit about how to correctly induce physical adaptations true training. I know almost everything from this and some other channels (cough... athleanx), your books and my history of strength training. I truly hope I can do better when I start treating patients soon. But I also have to say that I'm scared that my 'more active' approach will scare sedentary people away from my practice... (sorry for bad english).

And I really thought the education on this was a lot better in america as you guys are far ahead on these matters compared to us (again, my thougts). It seems to be quite comparable.

Here is my problem with therapy, most things are done laying down, and there is no progressive plan for lifting , moving and maintaining correct posture under force during multidirection movements. Basically the therapist will give you joint range of motion exercises, and light static exercises, the goal is to reduce pain. But as soon as you try to perform something like lift a box, carry a bag a few blocks or even walk over a mile , you fall apart.

You are wrong about statistics here. If something is statistically insignificant then it means that these increases in power output could be there due to chance and not due to your starting setup. Of course, the statisticians are the ones who decide what the threshold of significance is but it has nothing to do with the magnitude of improvement. They are not saying that 3 percent improvement is not big enough, they are saying that it's not enough to be attributed to your setup and that it may be just the matter of chance. So, if the methods, sample size and statistics were all in place than it just means that it cannot be proven that your setup improves anything. Maybe that's why John's research paper wasn't published.
