I wanted to share that I took a Zumba class this morning (yay! the gym has reopened), and it was getting really hot (CDC rules that you can't run fans in gyms at this time) so I rolled up my shirt off my belly a bit to cool off, and one of the ladies told me she was jealous of my 6-pack. Okay, I'm not really THAT defined, but still...there is something very nice developing there thanks to a daily dose of Katja's classes for about a month! This one is definitely a keeper for days when I'm short on time or to combine with another short one when I have more time. (I did shoulders today.) Thanks Katja!

This is a great short exercise that I can do after a run when I don't have the strength for a full 30 or 45 minute workout :) Thanks Katya!

I agree, Netty! Pilates is all about the detail. If we focus on the precision and detail of the movements, they are a lot harder than they look like... :)

I’m at a bit of a loss Katja as to what I can and should do to be honest! I was doing your upper and lower back workouts every other day for a good few weeks, as I get a lot of back and shoulder pain. Unfortunately, this had to drop to once a week for a couple of weeks or so due to Uni assignments. I’ve now found out that the upper arm pain that’s been plaguing me daily since January is tendinitis (occurred during a major flare up in Jan and never went away). Whether it’s in the biceps, triceps, or both I’m unsure. I’ve been advised to do gentle core work Pilates that doesn’t involve arms, so the plank work in this I avoided. It also put a lot of stress on my neck as I have a neck problem, which is where the rest of the pain all stems from, so I stopped the workout. I need to do something to help my body, yet at the same time can’t put too much pressure on my upper arms and neck, and this was giving me shooting pains lower right back. I just need a new body!! 😣 Any advice for workouts that help the pain in these areas and won’t exacerbate these pain issues? Thank you.

Have you tried the 'beginners Pilates class' ?kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nauBkqmbycyYe6M.html This is actually a routine I practice myself daily to keep my body (and mind) aligned and balanced. Keep avoiding planks etc. if this too much right now on your arms and shoulders. I also have a short sequence for the neck and shoulders coming very soon (people have been voting for it :), I hope that it will help... Feel better soon!!!

Hi Kadja! I really love your channel. Could you do some pilates routines for girls when we have our period? I know there are a lot of ordinary exercises that we can not do while on period. Like we should not invert the womb, right? It would be great.

Hi Niza, thank you for your request... For now, try the gentle morning stretches and the post travel routine when you have your period. You are right, avoid inversions and too strong abdominal work.
