What Grade of Pipe were you welding on Grd. 483 (x70)? If it was grd. 483 via procedure you would weld 8010-G all the way through in Canada . Running a bead 8010-g is possible and easy if you know the technique . 375 wall 5/32 for the bead 3/32(2mm) land 3/32space . To alleviate under cut with a lincoln 200 run third gear. lower amps and higher volts . Carry a half of a key hole .travel rate one whole rod to about 3/4length of rod 14 inch rod 9-10 inchs of travel . Reason for under cut is 8010-G is a fast freezing rod . travel to fast on the bottom half rod metal does not have time to blend in properly . Done it for 20+ years on big inch pipe

Hey Guys, real good you guys know what your doing OK But the music sucks,you need to hear the rod sound when your burried in the hole running beads,just what Beadhands do.

Of course you don’t show the bottom. And your comment about blowing through, you can’t do that on a test. Unless they don’t see you do it and you fix it.
