great video, I just bought a 2013 with 200 hours on it, runs great. One issue the previous owner said is that the check engine light will come on when the battery is not within an exact voltage range and to not worry about it and that it will go away once charged, have you experienced that before with this model ranger?

I broke a clip on the air filter box, on the plastic part. I ordered two new ones but it seems next impossible to jam them back on the filter cap. Any tips? BTW , you maintainence video is the best one I’ve seen on the Ranger 500 efi . Thanks!

I was told it took 32ounces of rear differential fluid but mine only took half a quart or less. Front differential as well. Hope i did it right

Excellent info! Working on mother in laws 2011 500 efi ranger. Head lights dont work, bulbs are good, fuse is good, meter on fuse box, no power to headlight fuse. Tail light, brake lights have power in fuse box...... any advice on this? Thanks, Steve

Hey there mate look underneath the chassy right underneath the engine. You will see a circular hole in the chassy where there is a drain hole

But isn’t there a procedure to purge after oli change. So the oil will flow and not air lock.

Clearly you have no clue how dry sump oil systems work! The lowest point is in the crank case which actually collects all the junk and should be drained to! Another bad idea here is not running it before dumping the tank when you only dump the tank. The tank will slowly drain back to the crank case the longer it sits thus meaning you are changing even less of the oil in the system and probably over filling them being the oil is sitting in the crank case where you have no dipstick. That is why even in the polaris manual it tells you to run the engine before checking the oil otherwise you will get a false reading. This is for every dry sump oil system and is in every one of there manuals. The only reason not to drain the crank case is ignorance, lazy, or a crocked shop screwing customers!
