As to what Ed was saying at 30:30, I think the concise phrasing would be that Sunak's sloganising something that should be considered and serious diplomatic policy. By cheering the recurrence of the phrase "Israel has the right to defend itself" they turn it into a catch phrase akin to "Nobody has invested more in the NHS than us." It's point scoring, it's crass, and Ed's right.

It is estimated that Hamas numbers 25000 members in a city of 2000000. That means Hamas makes up 1.25% of Palestinians in Gaza... How is it "Defense" punishing the 2 million people of Gaza for the actions of 1.25% of the people?
