I love your printed Crystal accessory, tomorrow I will watch the whole video, very curios about it.

Just got mine today. Setup was very easy, I'm just having trouble dialing in settings. NMS is very choppy for my 3080ti. Great video, please go over some of your settings that would be great!

I just purchased the Crystal and received it a few days ago. I've been monitoring reports of the issues with it and had hoped I'd ordered it at the right time just as the last major issues were resolved. Unfortunately, I'm part of the half that is experiencing the severe audio latency issue. Pimax had shown videos of their "fix" for this problem, and I was very disappointed to discover that the "fix" was just to have a configuration option to turn off audio processing. The resulting audio sounds bad and has artifacting issues and can't be fully fixed by 3rd party software like Equalizer APO. A lot of Pimax customers are hardcore simmers, so I suppose this improves the audio to be good enough for engine noises. But for the rest of us, this is not an effective solution. Whether or not the audio latency issue is experienced seems to be a PC side thing. I even saw someone claim they connected the same Crystal to two different PCs, and it had the latency on the one but not the other. The issue consistently followed the PC, not the Crystal. That suggests that it may be possible to figure out what specific difference on the PC provokes this issue. It may be just some particular configuration setting or software that was installed or whatever. It does not appear to be an Intel vs AMD issue as I've seen it reported on both platforms (I'm running an AMD 5800X3D and nVidia 4090 myself).

I use 13900k with 4080FE and I love the 72. I can run 95% of the time at 90fps but the 10% drove me crazy. So happy with using 72. Games are IL2 and DCS.

❤ the No Face Cushion. I bet this thing is much more comfortable. But, How much light bleed is coming in at the bottom...? Kind of like my PSVR2 they have a thin silicone face cushion basically used to block out the light. The pressure point is at the forehead. But, I prefer it there than on my face. 😉👌😁👍

Looks like your overhead camera has a very shallow depth of field, oddly it looks like you have plenty of light, so not sure why the iris is open so far to reduce depth of field. Your mic audio sounds clean. Look forward to other videos and curious about the Android side loading, wondering what future useful things you can do with that. I don't know of any VR based Android apps, but then again, I haven't looked. Maybe those apps that went with those headset phone adaptors like Gear VR by Oculus from a few years back are the kinds of side loading you can do?

I'm still on the fence about selling mine. I'm definitely done with helping Pimax ever again, though, they are in a pit so deep it would take a Vatican-approved miracle for them to get out. I'm convinced they are lying (more lies) about them ever getting wireless -- something that I need to take full advantage of the headset, wireless is just a requirement to use something like a Katwalk and that's about 3/4 of my games since I'm not a simmer. I don't think Guy Godin has given them the time of day, no matter what they say -- I certainly haven't heard anything from Guy about Pimax except saying he had no interest -- yet Pimax says they are "in talks". So that leaves what, ALVR? Maybe sort of alright, but apparently that's not going to happen either. The fact Pimax is just shrugging and leaving it up to someone in the community -- once again, just like with OpenXR -- to do their job for them, is disgusting. They really let me down with their seemingly endless lies and half-delivered efforts, the critics were right, Pimax just over promises and under delivers. At least, that's my opinion. They lost one of their biggest fans, and I'm not coming back, even if I do decide to keep the headset as the alternatives aren't impressing me much either.

This headset is a big headache. So frustrating. What is worse, if you have a problem, their support is not possible to reach and you are alone in that problem.
