This stretching video is perfect if you've got no clue what to do and you need to stretch out after a workout, but this routine is also great if you need a good stretch :) Hope you enjoy it, 'til next time, xoxo ❤

Adding this to my daily routines.. I already memorized your basic stretching...:):) I can feel and see that I am little bit more flexible when it comes to certain moves. Looking forward to doing this one. Thank you very much for posting those.

Hi Sofie 💗 Another very helpful video, as always 💗 This really helps me relax my muscles after practice. In addition to these stretches, I stretch my oversplits everyday, but when I do them after an intense practice I feel very sore in my hip flexors 😣...however, this doesn’t happen if I do oversplits when I don’t skate, and I feel no pain at all. Did this ever happen to you? Do you stretch your oversplits after an intense practice on ice? And if so, do you feel more pain or stiffness compared to when you do oversplits when you haven’t skated during the day? I wish you a nice, colorful and happy day 🥰🧚🏻‍♀️💗

Yes, I completely understand you! I am more flexible when I haven't skated for a while. Your body has been given a break and has had time to regenerate so you are not so stiff as when you skate, but how to be less stiff when you have to practice more often. Really make sure you do a lot of hip opens and hip/butt stretches before you do your oversplits. Also try to do more stretching on the days you are not skating. SofaBar thank you sooooo much for your kind reply 🧚🏻‍♂️ Yes, you’re right: when I skate 8 hours/week I feel more stiff and doing many hip opening stretches helps a lot! The most stiff muscles after I skated are my hip flexors and the external rotators so the first stretches I do after practice aim at relaxing my sore hips 😅 On the contrary, when I don’t skate eight hours a week I feel more flexible, especially in the hip flexors and I can do amazing over splits (both left and right) with one leg on a chair, keeping my hips completely squared...and I can really see a huge difference! Thanks for your tips 👍🏻 I’ll stretch my hips more after skating and maybe I’ll use the foam roller too when I’m sore 🌟 Have a nice day!!! 💗

Yay a new stretching routine! I find that stretching makes the whole workout worth it but I always end up just doing the same stuff I've actually been searching youtube for more stretching routines lately~ Would you say it's better to do a different series of stretches each day or just keep doing the same ones?

I've been doing almost the same stretching routine for years haha! It depends on you! If you get bored, try something new, but if you want to stick with the same stretches, that's okay too!

Hi Sofabar, I like your exercises very much, they help me a lot especially at stretching. Can you also do the exercises for balance or some off-ice tips like exercises with skate spinner? I want to learn skating but the ice rink is too far away😭, thank you!

So glad to hear that! Thank you! Sure! I'll definitely do some balancing exercises in the future, look out for it this month or next :) Forget the skate spinner, it doesn't really help with anything, sorry to say :/ learning better spins is something you can only improve on the ice, unfortunately, but I plan on doing some videos to help with jumps on my channel, so stay tuned for that as well :)

Hi SofaBar, I love your ballet full body workout and these stretches too. I wanted to know for the full body workout If I do it everyday with a rest day, how long should I do it (in terms of weeks/months) before I switch to a different ballet full body workout. Thanks 😊😊

SofaBar No problem, the workout was one of the best workouts I have ever done 😊, you're a great teacher too. I meant can i do the workout for like 60 days without having to change because I really enjoy it.
