I thought I included a couple slappy clips while editing this video, but I must've deleted them on accident. Here's the clips I meant to include: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/otR9o6lznc-3iWQ.html Sorry for the lack of trick skating, I'm currently recovering from an ankle injury. Cruising, sliding, and slappys are all I can handle right now. As stated in the previous video, I'm still getting used to a new camera and editing software so future videos may look visually inconsistent with each other.

How do these compare to 85A Rat Bones in the original formula?

Thanks for the review man. I have been looking to mess with these cruisers after I work through my Bones Rough Riders since they mention these could slide as well.

I just got a of ripper check 14 put some 169 Indy standards on there stock bushing some red bones and I just order some ripper tie die grip with red g slides hell yea can’t wait. I never skated a softer wheel hope they work nice at the skatepark. As long as I can carve the bowl axle stall 50 50 I’ll be happy

these wheels have been great for learning glove down slides on a larger shaped board

Lasted me a month or 2 before I blew chunks out the sides, but yeah they slide. But they are quite wide too… Now…the dragons, now these Baby’s are a game changer.

Hi Thorne, I always enjoy your reviews very much. I have a question that I want to ask you and I'd like to hear your opinion. First off I live in a place in the UK where all the street skate spots are only crusty asphalt, and I have noticed that my deck doesn't pop at all and I struggle when I try to ollie ,making way harder doing tricks on crusty asphalt. Do you think this is a common issue with crusty asphalt ? My setup is Antihero 8.5 , spitfire wheels F4 53 mm, independent 149, Bronson G3 bearings. what's your own opinion ? Thank you in advance.

I ride the seime ! I think is the crusty asphalte make this problème beacose the setup is very good for normal place no problème (sorry for my inglish..)

For the skating you do, you gotta try some Seismic Encores! They have the best slide on any surface and a better profile for tricks. I actually love my g-slides but they excel at 15-20 mph downhill. Btw your point about fully committing to soft wheel slides is spot on

hey brother, my favourite wheels for cruising around are actually the 90A mini logo hybrid wheels. would be great to see you cover them, in my experience they conquer most ground just fine, they are a nice middle ground of cruiser and street shape and they do slide, albeit grippy. also they have so many cool colours, thats definetely a plus for me and so is the price tag. cheap and good.

Try the 93A Dragons. They are much better. I was using 90A Mini Logos before they came out. Pricier, but, slide way better. If you want a cruiser wheel and don't care about sliding. Checkout Mini Logo AWOLs. Pretty awesome IMHO. They don't really slide though, but, they handle rough pavement like it's nothing.

thanks for this review, i was thinking of these or the new dragon formula 93a wheels Powell came out with recently (they come in 4 sizes - 56x36, 54x34, 54x32 and 52x31). looks like the dragon will be a better option for me. i suggest you grab a set and do a review of those as well, youre very chill and succinct, good content, thx again

If you just want to cruise these are fine…slide on smoother surfaces and rougher ones, but they will crumble depending on what your sliding them on. The dragons are a wheel for everything, bar probably cruising. They are amazing.

@@indigoskyfall9862 They have Rat Bones and G Bones shapes in Dragon formula now. The Rat Bones Dragons are now my favorite wheel for an old school deck.

So sick. After skating Orb wheels, I haven’t changed it up in a bit. I really love their shape, and this is the only wheel that I’ve skated that is less then 101, but diggin’ ‘em as if they were. Just curious, but have you skated the Orbs and have any thoughts on ‘em? Good and bad, always interested. So stoked on your vids mate, keep ‘em coming!

What's your board set up on that board? It's a Jason Adams 9.5 right? What trucks are you riding on that deck??

Powell G slides 85a 59mm VS Bones ATF rough riders 80a 59mm, what do you think? Need a set for cruising the city, sharp turns around corners. So a lot grip and maybe sharp lips needed but not so much grip to slow down fast on average streets. I need fast acceleration. Got 78a, 62mm which I can do sharp turns with, but they also slow down fast.
@idmhead0160 Жыл бұрын
I guess it depends on whether you want to be able to do slides with them. AFAIK, ATFs don't slide. I've never tried them, but, I'm guessing they are similar to Mini Logo 80A AWOLs, which I've tried. The AWOLs are very fast on rough pavement. I'm surprised you would say that 78A slow down fast?

Been meaning to try these but I heard they chunk out easily. I've tried ricta clouds (favorites) and satori movement. I heard santa cruz slime balls are good too.

As said in my video, I haven't had any chunking during my time with these and previous sets.

I like wheels like these for downhill. I can just take big slidey carves instead of quick speedcheck slides.
@Red1676 Жыл бұрын
That's what they are ment for, freeriding.
@idmhead0160 Жыл бұрын
@@Red1676 I just got some Powell Snakes 75A, and that's what I found. Yes, they will slide, but, compared to harder wheels they are sticky. You can do front side 180 power slides with them. Speed check slides would be more difficult. And so far, I can't do backside power slides with them. At least at the speeds I normally ride at. I shouldn't be surprised. They are very wide wheels. You can roll over torn up pavement like it's nothing.

How do I get good as you on a skateboard? o:
@Red1676 Жыл бұрын
These are good techslide freeride wheels. They are really hard to flatspot. If you cant slide these, you suck. Lol softer wheels are good on brick, you just need wider contact wheels. Stop seeing downhill wheels as cruiser wheels will help too.
