+ The funny shit is that I have seen riffs between family members first hand. In where both parties are like "I don't care, so & such is dead to me & don't chew ask me nothing more about 'em". But!!! As soon as one or the other is in a horrible accident, battling a life threatening disease, in prison, or dies. Whose the first person CRYYYYING their eyes out??

Please call him and understand him. I stopped talking to my dad for 7 years. We had a huge fight and I decided that day that I wanted to never speak to him again. He left me when I was one year old. He married the woman he left my mom for and had 2 daughters. I was very close since I was young to the sister who came after me. My other sister during the 7 years of me not talking to my dad ended up leaving their family and moving to a cult. Her mom, my dad and my sister were devastated. Anyone would say wow karma hit them back. I know that what goes around comes around but honestly I can tell you that as much as I despised my stepmother and wished the worst on her. After I found out what had happened my heart hurt for all of them especially for my little sister because I love her so much. I didn't want her to go through the pain of the other sister leaving. I've been trying for a whole year since to get my sister back to our family. I want them to be happy again and even though they hurt me. Today I've forgiven them because I have learned to find the best in everything and anything that happens. Forgiveness was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life but it was well worth it. There is an explanation on why your dad did what he did. For my dad it was because he was abused as a child. People that are abused as children become numb to their feelings and become mean individuals. My relationship with him is just getting built now and little by little as we get back to talking I can one day show him how beautiful life truly is. He may start learning how to forgive others and himself. It's called freedom and guess what I have finally found happiness. When you don't forgive the only one your hurting is yourself. I wished I would've been there for all my family when this happened to them. No matter what we are all human beings and we all hurt sometime in our lives. Your stronger than this and you can let go of the pain.

As long as the person isn't toxic and doesn't pose a threat to your well being. Some people who should leave behind. But if it was for a silly reason or because of nonsense, then go for it. Hopefully it'll turn out well. :)

This subject is sooo relatable.I haven't spoken or seen my family, especially my mom, for more then over 10 years. This because I've been badly mistreated by my mom, mentally and physically (I had a Latino/Caribbean - Surinamese Curaçao descent - strict upbringing con la chancla y mas, but MUCH more worse; from punches to strangling) to the point that if non of my siblings would intervene, I could have ended up severly injured. Seriously, no joke. For things like, not responding quickly enough when she yells my name throughout the house to pass her the remote control, which was literally one freaking feet away from her or something was found broken or missing and for any other reason I got the blame. That's why she's 'dead' to me.In comparison to my more articulate siblings, I was a quiet, withdrawn, sensitive, shy talented young girl, so I was an easy target to get more then often treated like a piece of ish, when things weren't going my mother's way. She had to raise 5 kids all by herself even though my dad was around but wasn't very supportive. The frustrations of being a "single" mom were directed towards me especially as the middle sibling. I believe I have nothing to apologize for, so there's a strong sense of pride in me too. My pride is holding me back from approaching her and tell her how much I appreciated that she held a roof over our heads, prepared us BOMB-ASS, die-and-resurrecting, long waiting-line-creating meals and made us clothes from scratch. Till this day, she still can't (or won't) admit what she did to me and caused our family to be growing apart. She acts like she can't remember anything. Now that I'm all grown up, I'm still missing a mom, but not my mom. Especially when the holiday season embarks, I still get sad, jealous and disappointed when I see tightnit family's, friends with a caring mother and siblings and friends with a good relationship with their parents. Hearing them celebrating a very merry Christmas with their happy familiy, makes me wish to have no pride at all. Traditionally X-mas is the time of the year people spent with their family's, and make amends. Two days of X-mas in a year isn't the only chance we have, there are 363 days left in a year. Which means that God gave us more then 363 chances to push our heavy pride aside. Gadiel, Pero Like Crew, and all the subscribers, I wish you all a very merry Christmas.

wspo mariel I can relate except I won't let anyone abusive including a mother back in my life that abused me. You have to be evil to abuse children or to abuse someone who is weak and vulnerable. I won't make any excuses for these people because their is NO excuse good enough to abuse your own children!
@SilverLakeify
@SilverLakeify 6 жыл бұрын
wspo mariel I don't think your mother had any excuse to abuse you like that. Your situation is more complicated, you came from an abusive household and for protection, don't want to hold a relationship with your abuser, even if that person is your mother. Maybe one day you will find the strength to forgive her 100% so that you can live in peace. Maybe that time is now. Forgiving her doesn't necessarily mean you condone what she did, forgiveness is to get the heaviness out of your body and soul for your health and well being. It's is hard to take that first step, but well worth it. I did it through lots of prayer and meditation. I have a good relationship now with the person who hurt me because I let it go, spoke to them with honesty about how I was hurt and we are at peace now. Hope that helps, have a blessed Christmas. ❤️

😭😭😭😭 this is so sad. Wish ur advice would work on me. I can’t rekindle those relationships I’d parted with. I just want to live and let life... that meant letting go of those toxic people. I’m willing to be open if they change their ways... but who needs family that steals ur identity, literally tries to do voodoo, wishes nothing but bad for u, and tries to destroy your other relationship. I am sure there is mental issues involved but I’m to sick to send another minute worried...

"Would you rather be right or happy?" Granted I feel like my family is terrible with conflict, nothing really gets resolved and I don't know how to do so in other relationships. With people outside that I am close to, there is a honesty and vulnerability I appreciate.
