Saw a sign at a church building today. It read, "Is your spiritual house in need of spring cleaning?" The building sign said it was a United Methodist Church. After their last General Conference, I would say they are definitely in need of a spring cleaning by the Holy Spirit.

Yes our UMC put a sign out right after the new changes. Its rainbow colors and it says "You are Welcome here". Nobody sees the hidden meaning but me or maybe they just aren't saying anything about it 🤷‍♀️ I'm ready to walk once the craziness begins in our little country church.

My town doesn't have pride month anymore. Since the first one obviously went in the opposite direction of what it was meant to do.

God bless you brother. Far too many pastors are ashamed of what the Bible says. God's Word says what it says, and his ministers ought to be preaching it all, not just some of it. Thank you for proclaiming God's truth, for it is the power of God unto salvation. Sinners will never repent unless someone has the courage to proclaim God's Word. The preacher who only preaches what he thinks his congregation wants to hear is not doing his congregation any favors, he is also not doing his job. I love the Greater Vision song, Preacher, Tell Me Like It Is.

Pastor John, your denomination may have deserted you for the "pleasures" of this world, but through your website you have probably reached more people for the gospel than you reached as a minister in a church. God is using you mightily, Brother.

There are many sins not being talked about in our churches. Fornication, gluttony, lying just to name a few.

My Church holds up signs with rainbow backrounds (the colours fade into each other as opposed to blocks) and "WELCOME" written on them, but they do it year round.

Why do people feel the need to flaunt their sexuality? Its been pushed to the political extreme. I don't want to hear what anyone does in the bedroom. And neither should children.

Dear Brother, thank you for how you handled this topic. So many point to The Almighty's love, yet, He is also The God of justice. And the God of love and the God of justice met at a place called Golgotha. Our challenge today is demonstrating love for the sinner without watering down The Gospel message; because the truth is no longer the truth when it is altered in any way (thinking of the letter to Galatians).

How many church going Christians are willing to carry their cross and speak out on behalf of christ?

I grew up methodist in a very conservative church, and everyone knew and no one cared that my father beat my mother daily, only skipping days when he beat me (often for defending my mother). I even myself got chastised for failing to respect my father (that's a commandment!). Why should I care if some other people are hurting no one but themselves when sexual harassment, assault, and beating your wife and kids are all clearly A-OK with Bible believing conservative methodists? Once you clean up all the sins that actually hurt others, then maybe I will worry about the people who are self-harming but happy. There has never been the hysteria against spousal abuse that there is against homosexuality and I am pretty sure spousal abuse is far more common.

How would ANY church react? A month-long celebration of sin. Not really much that can be said...

To your point #2, Your statement seems contrary to Paul in Ro 7, summed up in 19b "but the evil I do not want to do-this I keep on doing." Paul seems to not be able to overcome sinning in some fashion, and continues to do so.. I think you would consider Paul a Christian however, even though he continues with some sinful tendencies. This also goes to your last point, you offer a path out of the sin of homosexuality however why didn't Paul get such a path for is continued sinning?

Mine, which is FCE (Part of REC-GAFCON, basically they are the UK branch of the REC), does *not* Celebrate this perversion, it instead utterly condemns it as the SIN that it is, as the Pastor wants nothing to do with "Living in Lust and Fornication" ,and calls for National Repentance!

Instead of pride month, we need humiliation and prayer month. What you are saying may only be the tip of the iceberg. There are pseudo Evangelicals like Andy Stanley and others in similar megachurches follow suit just like the main line denominations. The Roman Catholic Church also embraces these beliefs.

Love is love. Which there are various forms. Sex with the same person is lust. Love is expressed in ways other than sex. Sex outside of marriage is a sin. God deceeded marriage is between male/female to procreate our species. All others sustain from sex. Fornication is a sin, not limited to homosexuality.

Please remember that Jesus Christ is a member of the God Head. The God Head (the Trinity) destroyed S0dom and G0morrah for the sin of homosexuality.

This man's opinion is exactly why I left the mainline evangelical church for a Welcoming and Affirming Church. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, God forgives ALL our sins: past, present, and future. Forgiveness comes as a total package; God does not forgive us partially but wholly. “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). Nothing, not even our future sins, will condemn us. There are no church pews filled with sinless people. to think other wise is self-righteousness or pride. The Bible teaches that, after salvation, we continue to sin (1 John 1:8; 2:1). We won’t reach sinless perfection this side of glory. God imputes or accredits the perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ to the believing sinner while he is still in his sinning state (Rom 3:21-22). I'm praying that you would read the Bible and see what it says about sin.

It is easier for all churches to get in line with the LGBTQ+ now rather than be forced to submit later. Do it now or do it later.
