They were told to bury what was left of plane? That was and still is very suspicious! What happened to the plane, what happened to the plane parts you had, still have something?

So since the plane or most parts were buried, there were no investigations done to determined the cause of the accident? Because it was my understanding there was and because of the damage in the plane there wasn't enough to determined. But if there are parts buried, this changes. I keep reading different things about how the plane came down. I have also read witness accounts in papers at the time that attempts were made by bystanders to rescue Prince William and his friend, which doesn't square with an immediate death. Finally, how does a pilot capable of flying from Lagos to Tokyo make such an amateur mistake? I'm always going to wonder about this one

Doubtful, long time ago and too small of a plane. They are not required on personal aircraft.

If you think that all documentation about the aircraft and the accident were sealed for 100 hundred years, makes you wonder! If you're asking if it was suicide, I don't see how. He had a passenger, a friend he learned from and had flown with before, and his mother was in the stands. I do question if it was an accident. He had been diagnosed with variegate porphyria, and it can cause behavior aberrations. I wonder if between Mrs. Starkloff and the possible issues if someone in the monarchy decided he was a liability. I mean, why make the full accident report unavailable for 100 years?

I know this airfield very well. Runway 04 is up hill to start. The stream take off caused the problem The other aircraft cut across the path of the Arrow, you can see it in a couple of videos. Although the Arrow gear was up they have a auto extend feature. The Arrow had no where to go other than a sharp left. At best the Arrow performance is margin, sharp left turn, clipped tree, stall, classic roll onto it's back.. On ground gear is extended so probably auto dropped gear in the turn.

@@flybobbie1449 sorry but the other plane dis NOT cut infront of the arrow it's clear to see in the photos and video and eye witnesses I have spoken to agrees the plane did not cause the accident

@@scooterific4005 There is video from the end of runway 04. The local newspaper Express and Star obtained it. The turn point after take off was too close to airfield.

He was not Gay! He had a very close long love affair with ZsuZsi Starkloff that met with disapproval of the Monarchy. He had to separate from her for a time, in fact the day of the crash, he called her to join him on the day flight. Had she gone both would have been killed. I often thought it was a suicide but the video of the crash makes more sense. Very tragic love story, both really loved each other. She never married after his death. There is a video, "The Other Prince William" here on KZfaq. King Charles greatly admired him. That is who the current Prince William is named after.
