Whats the problem with live service? What kind of games have you been playing? Monster Hunter World did an amazing live service and it was a complete masterpiece game FF XV never called himself live service, but got 2 years of free content. AC Origins, Odissey and GR Breakpoint all got tons of new content and improvements. Valhalla will soon get a new raid system which will probably improve end game, and has an entire year of free updates.

All the reviewers said that although they couldn't show their own footage, the game was great just had a few bugs that should be fixed with the day 1 update. That was a lie, the reviewers should have told us it was a bug fest and had many missing features.

Here's the thing, @Eddie, I booted up the game from Day1. The moment it was playable I played it. And aside from very minor visual glitches I only had two mentionworthy issues. 2 crashes in the same place. 1st was "oh maybe it is a bit broken" 2nd "hmm.. again in the same place under same circumstances" 3rd time I ran through without waiting for Jackie to walk towards Misty's place and Pow! No crash. Other bug was phaseshifting elevator guy at the Plaza heist. That's it. No disappearing cars in front of my face, no T-poses, no badly loaded textures, weapons appearing in my hands etc... I was mostly bug free. And still am. I am looking at the bug riddled videos and I cannot believe what I am seeing. My first thought was "did they remove files from the game and then fake the bugs?". The game has issue but for some people it just does not happen on a scale that says "bugger my ass this is not ready". I have around 120 hours in the game so far and never ran into progress stoppers or ridiculous shit.

The character upgrade system is below average. Pros: Fun combat, Great soundtrack, Great voice acting, Amazing graphics, detailed city If we got the game promised: 10/10 Current game even without bugs: 7/10 Lackluster open world with some fun combat and kick-ass music

THIS NEEDS MORE ATTENTION, BUGS CAN BE FIXED, MISSING CONTENT AND FALSE PROMISES CAN'T BE FIXED. There were no choices. You can see choices being removed from the 2018 demo. Choices that result in an instant game over or quest cancelled are not real choices.

I think he isn't proud of the game state but rather proud of amount of work that made this somewhat finished project happen
