We was not sure whether the pipe still contained sewage plus the homeowner requested that we not break it so we just dug around it. Actually helped to stabilize the hole nicely. The problem was when they put the pipe in they knocked the wall down into the privy and broke almost everything in it. We have two more to go next weekend plus 3 more permissions in the same old town. So lots more bottles for sure. Thx for the continued support friend

Yessir it’s crazy how far that wall went down. I think they brought in fill dirt though because the top of the wall was 4 ft down lol. We’ve got two more probed out for next weekend. That ten pen soda is mega bux full. We’re lucky to see even a shard. Truly a dream bottle. Thx for the continued support brother

Yes ma’am it’s the biggest one we have ever dug. So old in the bottom it had no glass at all. The 1860s-1870s layers were mostly smashed but still a really cool one to dig. Thx for the continued support friend and let me know if you need any masons.

It was a little scary digging that giant but anytime we encountered a big rock it came out before we went any further. Once it was to dangerous to try and lift buckets we stopped. It went another 5 feet but way to dangerous and full of water. Oh well two more privys on this property next weekend. Thx for the continued support brother

Yeah like you mentioned in a previous comment, they made quack meds for everything. The machine made bottles are much thicker and unfortunately didn’t break with the pressure like the blown ones lol. Thank you for your continued support brother

People have been digging bottles since the 1960s and nobody has gotten sick from it. I would say you may have a chance of hitting asbestos in 1930s dumps but we normally stay out of them. We do have small tools but always tend to burry them lol

I know. I have a lot of antique bottles that I have found. I meant the germs specifically associated with an outhouse.

That wall was very stable and there was no risk of a cave inn. No digging was going on and it was a stone lined privy not a ash bottle dump. I do not think I was putting my son at any risk. I to have had many cave inns but only when we cause them by removing parts of the wall. Or when there is no stability to the wall. We know what we are doing and appreciate your concern but trav is every bit of a crick digger as I am. Always warnings as well if you are paying attention. Whether it’s trickling dirt, even leaves falling, that’s why we spot each other while digging as well as constantly test the stability. Thanks for your continued support brother

Still here to dig another day obviously. Thanks for your opinion but the city diggers dig 30-40ft brick liners all the time. This was a baby compared to them.

@@CrickDiggersInc 30, 40 ft deep !! I . As a ex archaeologist we are careful. One of our colleagues was buried alive and died. It's a fear, but you have to risk it for the good stuff. Just be careful. Love your videos..
