We shouldn't laugh at your misfortune BUT you made this a right comedy sketch. This will be you're pride and joy once you've put another thousands hours into her. Oh and a car is a car, they drive up and down roads, doesn't really matter who's driving. Great entertainment bro can't wait for the next installment of parts.

Hahaha. Might as well laugh about it, eh? I shot myself in the foot with that one, but it should hopefully serve others who are in the market for one of these. Haha. @@gmcevoy surely there will be light at the end of this mini tunnel your going through. It's a pleasure to watch killing two birds with one stone, was well needed on the boot area. The car does look much better with a simple tint job, I'll be waitin for the next episode when the time comes.

Was this car advertised as having 1 careful lady owner by any chance Great video Geoff this little car is a bit of a sleeper in the making i like it i can see why you would want that window tint can you imagine those vans with construction workers pulling along side expecting to see a chick behind the wheel and then see a dude sitting there lol I'm just kidding but i take it this is going to be at least a 10 part series so am looking forward to more of this but in the meantime stay lucky my friend see you on the next one

Thank you Darren! I hope to add more horses to it in due course, even though there is so many other issues to sort out beforehand. I had planned to get a 'ready to go' replacement, and I was terribly wrong. It was indeed a lady owner, with a terrible mechanic for sure. Ah well, live and learn. Definitely more to come with this sack of knots. Take care as well my friend!

@@gmcevoy please know i was just teasing this car has been neglected a little and on paper at least its specs are pretty good and we know you will have this car sorted out because you know what your doing. i remember buying a ford XR2 mk2 to replace my beloved XR2 that tried to kill me by steering it's self into a telegraph pole it wasn't me lol of course i wasnt wearing my seatbelt because i was young and had nine lives i did survive with just a loss of memory and a broken jaw and teeth i just wanted my XR2 back so i brought the first one that came along and my god it was bad it had cut down springs to make it look lower it was a real pig all kinds of problems it was junk i gave it away in the end i just could not trust it I saved up my money again and had 2 more XR2s after that and an XR3i yep showing my age i know what it's like to love a car and you love your nice BMW keep it and fix it up you wont regret it you could regret letting it go

@@Mr_Dia-Tribe I know you were teasing, cheeky ol' Darren, you. :-) XR2's and XR3's! I keep my eyes on the market for these almost permanently, as I have a bit of a Ford history myself! We used to have an Escort back in the day, and I know they are well built and worth every bit of attention... Fond memories of the one we had. As soon as I can afford one, along with having enough time to take car of it, it is definitely something I will look into. Nifty little cars, these! I really hope that I will be able to keep my ol' Beemer. It has served me well, and keeps doing so to this day, despite having raked in over 250k kms and drinking half as much water as it drinks petrol. I would definitely regret selling it, so I will put it aside for as long as I can, and hopefully be able to rebuild the engine, take care of bodywork etc in due course... As soon as this shoddy Mini is able to take over, it will enable my trusty old BMW to rest in the garage, and wait for a bit of well deserved pampering.

No it isn't. Its a Cooper S, which I transformed into a Clubvan. Mini never made a Clubvan S, so I did.

@@gmcevoy You’ve got it backwards. You should’ve bought the van and then converted it into an S End of the day that is a car from factory . Taking the backseat out of it doesn’t make it a van .

@@BullyBoxer Much more of a hassle, and completely illegal here. Swapping engines is a no-go. Plus, the clubvan doesn't have the Sports chassis, when this S does. So I got it right. And it was indeed a bit more involved than just taking the back seat out. I bought and fitted the Clubvan inner boot panels, had a floor cut to measure and then got it approved by the technical inspection authorities to make it all legal.
