"Lethal Tempo" would have gone so hard as the name for Project L

Lethal Tempo is hands down the best suggestion ive ever seen for me, as Fighting Games do have a sense of Rhythm hence the "Tempo", and also have a sense of relation with League.

I honestly didn't mind Project L as a name.

2XKO looks like writing Ekko so I'm gonna call it Ekko

Evo, Radiant, and Rising Thunder are previous projects Tom Cannon has worked on, not codenames for Project L

To be fair Evo, Radiant, and Rising Thunder are not names originally for 2xko, Evo was for Evolution tour which is the biggest fighting game tournament (which the cannon Brothers created.) Rising Thunder was a robot fighting game that was originally made before they were bought by riot. Radiant was also another project from them. Just call it Double Kill (as you have to defeat the 2 characters your enemy controls) and DK as an abbreviation, it fits and works perfectly. Even though the concept of a double kill is massively associated with League, is not exclusive to.

the issue i have with the name is that it is focusing alot in the already existing fighting games comunity but name wont atract new people when first look at it, it means fighting games stuff but new people in the genre how will they realise the name meaning? sure it wont change the product and might still be good fighting game either way but from a markting standpoint is really weird that they chose that name

btw, the shortening of names has it local variations. Like in here in Brasil most ppl will use celulol (celular means cellphone, + lol) rather than WildRift. Ppl here are already calling it Tchucko and 2 chico.

Don't know how it's like in other regions but most of the people here and everyone I know that plays it casually calls Valorant - Valo but not same pronunciation more like Veilo(think Veil with an O)

The name 2XKO already sounds like an abbreviation of a longer title. It kinda is since the name itself kinda means "Double Knockout." I think that's why they chose the name, 'cause it's already shortened lol

2025 is their 15 year anniversary and they have been gradually increasing their system specs requirements, they are probably doing a complete graphics (New engine?) overhaul (LS's theory not mine). Seems legit to do a graphic, client, and a general overhaul.

I would say it is gonna be called 2ko. exclude the x to shorten the name and it actually rolls off the tongue quite well. Valorant is also called valo a lot of times in EU at least, and league is also LoL

I don't play Valorant, but here in the Philippines there's an ad that people speaking in our native language calling it "Valo". And that's the whole ad center around "Tara Valo" it means inviting someone to play valo. It's not catchy at all maybe I'm not used to it yet

Evo is EVOLUTION, simply the biggest fightinf game tournament of all times that the cannon brother's were on the founding team. (so big that Vegas now has a "Evo Day" holiday); Radiant was the name of their previous studio, were they were developing Rising Thunder, their game which Riot bought to use as base for Project L. Those names are previous projects, not possibilities for the game name
