Fantastic video again. Its great that you make all the metalwork yourself. Top. Looking forward for the next video. I have also a Opel GT from 1971. I have the GT now for 46 years.

First, thanks for comment. Yes, try to make as much metalwork by my self.. Partially due to prices, but also because that is actually the fun part. Next episode scares me a bit. Hopefully some part of the fenders are still usable..

parts prices are going through the roof. the fenders are not easy to fabricate. I think you can do it

@@GT1900garage Ist Baujahr 1970 . Gerade der Break gefällt mir. Leider sehr rostige Geschichte. Und Reparatur Bleche bekommt man kaum. Aber ich liebe diese alten Autos einfach.

Moikka, Kyllä tietty joitain osia saa, mutta hinnat menevät helposti toiselle tuhannelle.. Mieluummin teen itse kuin sijoitan tähän Ferrarin verran varaosiin...

Підписався, дуже подобається все що ви робите, є питання одне, скільки товщина металу була у нових кастомних деталях?

Міцність оригінальної сталі автомобіля 0,85 мм. Для ремонту я завжди використовую листовий метал товщиною 1 мм або 1,25 мм. Причина полягає в тому, що зварювання стає набагато міцнішим і товщі листи металу легше формувати. Вага буде трохи більше, але на практиці це не має значення.

Amazing energy and skill! Most people would scrap this rusty GT. I see it has a hole in the roof for a retrofitted, unoriginal sunroof! Hope you get rid of this. Hate anything not original like spoilers etc.

Well, I had no other option but to fix this. And yes, sunroof will definitely be replaced by solid roof. The seller successfully managed to hide it from pictures....it was a surprise for me...
