As ever an awesome Vid Gents, really enjoyed it and so looking forward to the next Putting episodes of the Putting series. I have installed a putting green surface in my study at home in the UK so that I can practice and perfect my Putting stroke over the winter. After a season of too many 3 putts I am determined to limit them next year. so I have decided to make a donation to a local Hospice for every 3 putt I make next season. (Going on this seasons performance there should be enough money for them to build a new wing)!

So happy the putters are getting some love. Most important club in the bag. Awesome job guys.

The Odyssey putter tested here is the exact putter I use and I've always wondered if I need a different. I wasn't fitted in to it, just liked it and bought it. Putting has always been my strong point in my game. This is making me thinking about getting a putter fitting.

Your putting videos inspired me to stop struggling to adapt myself to my swing and go in for a fitting and as a clean slate find a putter that suits me. Went back to a toe down heal/toe putter. Got a king cobra sport 45. Has a different face to others I tried, including Scotty, odyssey and ping, my distance control has improved out of site.

Probably the last club a lot of people forget to get fitted, however, the most used club in our bags. I've seen so many people playing with putters the even me, that I'm not a golf fitter, can notice right away the toe aiming at the sky 😨. Some golf stores could adjust those putters at no charge. Thanks for another great video guys 👊

Got a O-Works #1 Wide putter with a Super Stroke 3.0 slim counter balanced grip at 50 gram. Love the feeling and sound. It's like the ball jumps of the face.

Superb video. As usual fascinating, quite technical with sensible “ coles notes” summary. Don’t worry about the shirts but the shoes....hey maybe a platform video using Performance Orthotics technology?

I know you guys did a video on the stability putter shaft a little while back. Knowing that you guys think a lot of Accra shafts, could you compare their new putter shafts to the stability shaft and maybe the UST frequency filtered shaft (which looks like the stability shaft). Would be interesting to see the differences. Thanks guys, great video as usual.

The putter is what I need the most help with (face angle control), so I'm looking forward to your putter videos! I hope you discuss the pros and cons of stroke types (SB/ST vs. arc). E.g., from what I've read, SB/ST requires some manipulation to achieve, so it's not as simple or natural as an arc stroke, and a high % of people who say they use SB/ST are actually using a slight arc. Anyway, thx for this and the upcoming videos!

I put an odyssey micro hinge in the bag 2 years ago Augusta and haven't putted as well in my life. I was struggling to hit the hole from 5 feet with a heel shafted blade. I went polar opposite with a small back weight center shaft and haven't missed from 5 feet in 2 years that wasn't a mechanical problem.

Great stuff. It's the one club I have never had fitted. Like many others I have relied on feel.....maybe that is the real reason I am a rubbish putter.......

I believe Ian has created the Otherworld in TXG as these eyes have never seen so many left handed putters to test and be fitted. It's great to see more focus on putter tech videos, as always well done. #inawe

Hi guys, great video again. I think that the various inserts all help, but the obvious thing is that if the delivery at impact is off, the money spent buying a new putter would be better spent on lessons imho.

Maybe do a video on selecting a grip and where that fits in the putter fitting equation? Your videos on grip selection for the other 13 clubs have been very insightful. Putters are where we see the biggest variations in size and shape of grip, so it would make for an interesting video.

Please review the Tommy Armour Impact #3 putter. Back to back MGS winner '18-'19, seems like there is something to the putter I would like Ian to dissect.

I know you guys have mentioned the PING putter app and cradle here, and in other videos... any advice where to get a cradle? They seem very hard to find for anything other than the iPhone 6 or iPod touches.. thoughts on where to get a cradle for other phone models?

Wanted to ask Ian's thoughts on putter face technology with Yes! (C-Groove) & Sik (Descending Loft technology)

I've used a lot of putters in the last 35 years and the single most thing that improved my putting instantly was the Super Stroke oversized grip.

Congrats first and foremost Ian 👶🏽 🎉🎊🎈 I was watching Eddie pepperal talk about his bettinardi yesterday on his “what’s in the bag” video and you touched on it before. It’s about a toe hand putter does not always close/rotate as much as some may think or in comparison to face balanced. What video was that of yours again?? I wanted to ask you also, why are fw wood and rescue wood shafts usually heavier than a driver? Cheers Guys

If you don't have access to a Quintic is there a way to pick the best face technology with only access to a roll board? Assuming forward shaft lean through impact is maintained, how do you pick between the EvnRoll 1.2 vs the O-Works #1. Both are plumbers neck blade putters. The biggest difference is the face.

WOW!! Great vid guys. Never realised it but the putter seems to be the most technical club in the entire bag.....Unfortunatley getting it right is extremely hit or miss for the average person, such as myself. We would all very much benefit from a putter fitting, me thinks!! But what is the name of the system you guys are using here? Would SAM Lab system be any good for a fitting? Would it work just as well?? Also will you be reviewing Ping putters at all? You mentioned the app and the TR inserts ......just wondering Keep up the great work...

Is Matt's consistency related to his cross-handed grip? I also use a cross-handed grip, and the putter is about the only club I could ever hit with any consistency. Belly putters were even easier, but now that they're gone, this isn't too much harder.

What Ping app are you talking about? I remember iPing from back in the day that I loved but I cant find it in the app store or cradles that will handle bigger phones. Any ideas?

What are your thoughts on centre shafted putters? Just personal preference or a reason for them? I like them- but don’t know why lol. I just know that my putting improved as soon as I started using my centre shafted putter last year.... maybe just confidence in my head...

By the intro of this video I thought we were going to get some information on the EvnRoll putters. I'm excited to see what you guys have to say about the face technology in that line of putters. Can we expect to see a video on that?

Great video, I've got my quintic fitting tomorrow, mallets tend to perform better for me but I prefer the look of a blade, should I just have an open mind ? Lastly, my grip is similar to Matt's in that I'm lead hand low, I struggle with AOA and either come in at zero are slightly down, is this because of the set up with lead hand low ?

Since Matt rolled the Futura so well, would you put him in a Jailbird, since the shapes are similar?

What do you prioritize if the player plays public courses that can vary? Public course green speed can vary so much in speed some courses i cant miss and others (like yesterday) are 3 putt city. My Putter is a club champion fitted Ping Sigma G Kushion with 4 degrees of loft (i lean the shaft forward)

I REALLY want to start using the ping app, but the cradles are hard to find. I have access to an iphone 7 and an iphone x (preferred). Any help would be great!!

I have always been jealous of the guys with EvenRoll putters because I know it's designed with the intent to produce consistent distance and direction despite being toed or heeled. One of my problems with those putters is that they don't weigh enough for my liking. I also imagine those grooves are designed for the specific MOI of those heads and the stiffness of their particular shaft. The solution I am considering to try and get the EvenRoll result with a Scotty Cameron is to buy the 6M from this video, replace the existing head weights with my own heavier one's and add the stability shaft you reviewed a couple weeks ago. What do you think? Overkill? Mallet head resistant enough to twist without the stability shaft?

Again, great video guys! Just an interesting idea for a future video if you guys wanna explore it or if you have any comments. I play a 9.5 degree driver (G25) and whenever I crank it up to 10 degrees, not only is the clubface closed, but it looks and acts like it's went to something like 12 degrees! My shots are sky high and spinnier even though I only adjusted it by 0.5 degrees. (It actually goes higher than another 10.5 degree driver that I have.) So I was just wondering whether it's possible that a standard 10/9/8etc. degree (stamped) driver can react so differently to a driver that's been adjusted (from hosel) to that same loft? Doesn't Matt have a Bobby Grace putter in his bag over the O'Works? I may be remembering that wrong from his WITB, but it would seem odd since he keeps getting his best numbers from the O'Works in all of the putter videos you do.

Maybe I missed it. I know you said that for Matt he delivers that odyssey putter consistent. But you did one put with the Scotty and he got what appears to be a bunch more green numbers/factors. So why is the odyssey better

Why test this in a "lab" when you can spend 10 years using 20 different putters and wasting a shitload of money in order to find the right one? No pun intended! Didn't know there was more to putter fitting than hit a shitload of puts with different putters and purchase what Tiger has ;)

No amount of size, weight, design, material, soft, hard, color or technology has fixed my yips!
