The boss fights are so hard with one hand

Turning an enemy into a bullet sponge is the worst way to increase difficulty. Especially in an FPS. I love the way Metro does it, where the time to kill is small for both you and your enemies, so it reduces your margin of error. You gotta make less mistakes and take your time, but it’s never to an extreme that feels really unfair. Something like increasing enemy speed and damage, decreasing resources for the player, introducing new enemy types, some kind of modifier that forces you to swap weapons. Do something that ENGAGES the player, because bullet sponges just turn games into absolute slogfests.

That wolf and hare cartoon is actually existing and quite beloved in Russia. In short it’s easily described as Tom and Jerry soviet edition It does look like North Korean cartoon but I think it’s mostly because of both having limitations when they debuted and given that they both somewhat connected to Soviet Union

the cartoons shown on the TV in the safe room in this game. mainly the one with a cute little rabbit and wolf is a real russian cartoon called nu pogodi. it translate to just you wait and it was basically the russian version/rip off of tom and jerry made in 1969. during soviet russia they didnt have access to american cartoons so the russians just made their own version lol. i think its a nice nod to have it included in this game

Its really weird how the story of this is kind of aligned to forspoken. Its a protagonist who doesnt develop in character at all and an arm worn companion who is actually very polite and helpful which gets bashed on for simply existing and assisting in any way whatsoever by the protagonist. Cuff, Glove, I stand in support of you and your effort. I would say this game is much better than forspoken however, simply by the amazing visuals alone. I been playing it with russian dialogue and english subtitles and its way better.

i enjoy this game tremendously, my only real issue i have is that even on armageddon difficulty, its almost a cake walk, especially with how abundant resources are, im having to get rid of ammo i find so much, and that you can farm the pchelas for neuropolymer cause they infinitely spawn, you can completely stunlock all but large enemies/bosses basically indefinitely, maybe its just me and that i have already mastered the combat and that i loot everything but other than that i adore everything else about this game and am near to beating it. also as a side note: 31:45 use the scanner to find enemies weaknesses, it makes things a breeze

Pyro speedrunning the game effectively and being sleep deprived I think is part of the reason he didnt like it as much as he could have. The game is a solid 8 in my honest opinion playing it out and exploring around and playing in Russian is certainly the best way to play. Its tough to play the game in Russian though because so much of the dialogue happens in combat so while youre enjoying the far and away better version its hard to really enjoy it due to the fact that youre trying to read while getting drop kicked by a stalin-bot. I can say for certain Armageddon is an aquired taste and the medium difficulty is fun and turns into a cakewalk with upgrades and its worth mentioning that said upgrades can be found early on by just exploring which given Pyro was on the hunt to find the twins asap he didnt do much of that which is why he played half the game with just SHOK and freeze with mediocre weapons. All things put together though I think its a fun game and the fact that it went through development hell, came out optimized, had a decent story, great gameplay if you actually play it "properly", hot robots (im robosexual now) and a great setting and overall world along with being Mundfish's first game its a solid 7.5-8/10.
