YO. This is a long video. It's the Q & A video, and there were so many great questions! I wish I could've answered every single one that was submitted but then this thing would've been like 87 minutes long. I promise there will be more Q & A vids in the future! Thank you for submitting! Love you guys!
QUESTIONS I ANSWERED:
1. When did you first realized you wanted to be an actress, and what was the first step you took after that?
2. Do Casting Directors or movie producers care more about you have more experience acting in different films and plays, order they prefer someone who has done more training and attended more workshops and acting classes?
3. What's the difference between acting for cable television and acting in movies?
4. What to wear to an audition? Makeup?
5. Do you need two separate bank accounts as an actor?
Do you know if the actual moving expenses to LA can be claimed?
Can the acting classes you take be claimed?
Mileage driving to auditions?
The equipment purchased for your home submission studio?
Head-shots, membership fees to casting websites, personal website fees... ALL of the expenses to support the actor?
Income: If you are lucky enough to receive payment, is it usualyl freelance money with NO taxes taken out? Or, is it normal W2 taxes taken out pay?
6. My son keeps a very consistent haircut. Our problem is the glasses situation. He truly wears chunky black plastic frames everyday. Most roles for stage and student films he takes them off. His last set of headshots we did half on and half off... does he need to choose and commit to one solid look?
7. How do you get an agent or agency? Best advice on castings?
Here's the TURBO TAX link I mentioned: ttlc.intuit.co...
