Well done Chris. I also ran it, even got a PB. Yes a very compact space to fit a HM course. At least the rain held off.

Glad you enjoyed watching it. I started in wave 6 and had to make my way through the field, so even though I had a faster time than you, you may have finished before me :-)

Congratulations Chris, well done! And great video again. I love the Olympic Park and often go there for a walk when I'm in London (after some shopping at Westfields :p). Never thought you could plan a half marathon there (without running one lap after the other) but now you know all paths in the park ;) A bit more sunshine would be nice but it was February - nothing to be expected ;) And a finish IN the stadium - but maybe that's too difficult to organize!? Happy weekend to you - Jo

Thanks Jo :) Run Through (who organised this race) also have a regular 10k in the Olympic park so worth looking that up to see if it conincide with a future visit. This was the first half marathon there and I'm sure that it was quite a complicated route to plan but a nice one to run. As you say, would have been even better with some nicer weather.

Plenty of obstacles there to avoid. Doesnt look ant different from when I was there in 2012 - great effort mate #teamwhite rules

Cheers mate :-) You did have to be careful out there to avoid the obstacles. 2012 was the last time I was there as well. It was a bit sunnier on that day.

My only quibble with running a half marathon on this route: would the relative lack of change of scenery get a bit tedious?

A fair point Jon. I think if you are new to the Olympic Park then this is a good route to see many of the venues that were created for the 2012 Olympics. Also, with all the loop backs, you get to see other runners ahead and behind you a few times, which is good if you know others taking part in it.

Would you say that the 2,000 feet of elevation gain is accurate? I’m looking for a course with PB potential but not sure this is it 😬

No 2,000 feet is definately not correct. I find that the Relive maps often report the elevation inaccurately. Checking Strava and it says 115m of elevation gain which is more accurate. It's not a flat course and does have many twists and turns but not too hilly either.
