➡️The recipe for a quick and easy chocolate buns:
▪️ Dough:
200 ml water
8 g yeast
50 g sugar
1 L egg
500 g flour
7 g salt
45 g oil
▪️ filling:
100 g milk chocolate
100 g dark chocolate
▪️ Sugar syrup:
200 g sugar
100 ml water
▪️ Chocolate sprinkles for decoration
Put all the ingredients for the dough except the olive oil in a mixer with a kneading hook. Put on low speed for about 10 minutes until a strong gluten network develops. That is, the dough will be strong, smooth and elastic.
Add the olive oil gradually, not all at once. Add more a little at a time, and when it is absorbed.
After the olive oil is completely absorbed in the dough, remove it from the mixer and transfer it to a lightly greased baking dish.
Cover and leave to rise for 1 hour.
Line a baking pan dish with baking paper.
After an hour, divide the dough into 12 equal pieces weighing about 70 grams.
Roll each piece into a circle and cover it with a towel to rest for a few minutes.
The chocolate:
Roll each ball into an oval with a rolling pin.
With a pizza wheel, make densely thin cuts along the oval in the center only, leaving the top and bottom intact, so that it maintains its oval shape.
Place a row of dark or milk chocolate in the upper, closed part of the oval and roll downwards, so that the cuts surround the row of chocolate.
Place in the pan lined with baking paper so that the edge of the dough is down, so it will not open during the rising and baking.
Repeat with all the balls of dough.
I arranged the balls diagonally in the pattern, but you can arrange them however you want.
Heat the oven to 180 degrees. 356F
Brush the chocolate buns with a thin layer of egg and bake for 20-25 minutes.
Prepare sugar syrup:
In a small pot, bring the sugar and water to a boil. Cook until the sugar is completely dissolved and a syrupy texture is thick. Remove from the heat.
(let the syrup cool before brushing)
When the chocolate buns turn brown, but the connections between them remain slightly lighter, take them out of the oven.
Immediately after removing them from the oven, brush the chocolate buns with the sugar syrup, and sprinkle chocolate on top.
Serve warm.
