ശ്രീ. രാജശേഖരൻ നായരുടെ ഈ മിയാവാക്കി പഴത്തോട്ടം രണ്ടു വർഷം പ്രായമായതാണ്. ചെറിയ ചെടികൾക്കും സൂര്യപ്രകാശം കിട്ടുന്ന രീതിയിൽ നന്നായി പ്രൂൺ ചെയ്താണ് തോട്ടം നിലനിർത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. വീടിനോടു ചേർന്ന് ആർക്കും ഇതുപോലെ മിയാവാക്കി തോട്ടം ഒരുക്കാവുന്നതാണ്.
In this video, M. R. Hari shows us the growth of a two-year-old Miyawaki fruit forest in Sri Rajasekharan Nair’s plot, close to the house. He observes that although the mulch could be thicker, the pruning has helped many fruit-bearing trees rise as single trunks with a rich canopy of leaves on top. This has permitted sunlight to fall on the ground and helped other plants grow well too. Thus, by mastering the basic principles of the Miyawaki Model of Afforestation, it is possible for anyone to create Miyawaki forests near their houses.

Actually in a Miyawaki model forest , no exotic plants are planted. But if one wants variety of fruit and flowering plants , exotic ones have to be included . Bud saplings can also be planted.

നല്ല കാര്യം. ഞാൻ പ്രവർത്തനം നിർത്തിയിട്ട് 30 കൊല്ലമായി. ചെറുകിട വ്യവസായം തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ സമയം ഇല്ലാതായി. പക്ഷേ ഇത്തരം കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ താത്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായത് പരിഷത്തിലൂടെയാണ്.

മരങ്ങൾ വലുത് ആകുമ്പോൾ പ്രശ്നം ആണ്. മതിയായ സൂര്യ പ്രകാശം കിട്ടാതെ നല്ല വിളവ് കിട്ടില്ല, ഫലങ്ങൾ കേട് വന്നു പോകുകയും ചെയ്യും. ഓരോ മരത്തിനും ഒരു സ്പേസ് ഉണ്ട് .കുറച്ചു പ്രൂൺ ചെയ്യാം എന്ന് മാത്രം.ഫലം വന്ന ഒരു തോട്ടം കാണിക്കാമോ.?

വളർച്ച കുറവുള്ള പോലെ തോനുന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തത് ഒരു കൊല്ലം കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ 15-20 അടി പൊക്കം വന്നു
