Last year's beach wagon didn't work quite right so this year is a redesign that is four wheel drive.

Very cool I'm at my beach house now in P.C. had the idea for about 20 years but now I'm going to get started on one because now I'm to the point in age can't carry all the crap anymore!!! Thanks for the new found inspiration 😃👍

It needs tracks, make them from old snow tires.

Not many snow tires where I live, lol I have considered making tracks

I can't wait. The technology you are putting in the wagon. I would like to do it to a wheelchair for me to go the beach.

How about use tracks like a tank for the sand problem
@ChrisfromKeyfarm Жыл бұрын
I have considered tracks, but little snowblower tracks are expensive and building my own would be very time consuming.
@brentjohnson87562 жыл бұрын
It needs some paddle tires like what they use on them baja tracks

It's not just for sand, it has to handle hard surfaces as well.

I’m in the process of motorizing and automating a gorilla cart. A build overview would be really helpful for me because I’m interested in powering the motor with drill batteries and I’m unsure how to go about it. Cool cart man, God Bless

Did you end up sticking with the small relay remotes or are you using an RC car remote? I built my cart a few years ago using a rc remote and wheelchair motor but would rather have a smaller remote. Just not sure about how they wire to the sabertooth.
@ChrisfromKeyfarm2 жыл бұрын
Since I used a sabertooth, I went with a typical 6 channel flysky, it made things so much simpler, it is now 4 wheel drive, has reverse, and I can drive it with 1 finger on the joystick.
@maverick79692 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply. Yeah I am running the flysky as well. It does a good job just was looking for something smaller. May try running an arduino with follow me function. That would be super cool.
@ChrisfromKeyfarm2 жыл бұрын
That would be awesome, if I were smart enough to do it, I would 😂. Hey, you may know, is there a way to run servos along with the sabertooth? Every time I hook up a servo to one of the other channels, I works a couple times, then shuts the whole thing down
@maverick79692 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisfromKeyfarm How many amps are you drawing? The 5 volt output can handle 1 amp I believe. If it's working for awhile then shutting down sounds like you may be supplying to many amps under load.

I am building a fishing beach cart. I couldn’t get the flysky controller work with motor speed control. Any tip for me ?

With say 80 pounds or less, it does great, but in all honesty with any more weight than that it's very hard on it, it'll still turn with a full size adult riding on it but because 4 wheel tank steer require a lot of slippage to turn, you can tell it's hard on it. However as far as pulling something like a loaded wagon, it can easy pull a lot of weight, it'll pull my golf cart! 2 wheel tank steer with casters on the front can handle so much more weight because the wheels don't fight each other near as much. I have a video( short) of a power chair I made Rc and it can handle weight no problem. I plan to make a build video for my latest bugging just haven't got around to it, keep in touch. 👍
@ChrisfromKeyfarm Жыл бұрын
But I meant to say that two wheel tank steer can't go across sand.
@Burton19739 ай бұрын
@@ChrisfromKeyfarm Does it get stuck steering in the sand?
@ChrisfromKeyfarm9 ай бұрын
It steers in the sand pretty well as long as the cargo doesn't exceed around 80 pounds.

Do you have an estimated time on when the build video comes out? I'm dying to see it. This thing is awesome. Also, do you know the specs on the motors you used? Would two brushed 24v 350w motors be sufficient?
@ChrisfromKeyfarm Жыл бұрын
I should have already made the build video. So long story short, my sister passed away very recently and I haven't built anything or been in the shop much. She was my only sibling and I've never lost anyone that close to me. I hope to bounce back soon, but just haven't yet. Thank you for taking time to watch the video and comment. The motors I use don't really come with any information on them, but I have heard that they are in the 250-400 watt range, so the ones you mentioned sounds good.

So sorry to hear that man! KZfaq is definitely a whole lot less important than family. Take your time! And thanks for answering my question. I’m attempting to build something similar out of a grocery cart.
