Radium Springs Gardens in Albany, Georgia is one of Georgia's seven natural wonders. The spring comes up from a cave in the ground and it pumps 70,000 gallons of water per MINUTE. The water temperature stays around 68 degrees.
This is one of the loveliest places we've visited on our travels. We didn't know it existed until we saw it on an Adam the Woo video recently. It's so close to home and we have travelled often to Albany and never knew it was here until now.
The water is so clear you can see to the bottom and the fish are easily seen as well. We love the trees and the Spanish Moss.
The park is super clean and well maintained!

I swam there many times back in the late 60's and it was well kept, and there was a nice beach area. The water is very cold so it was best to lay in the sun then dive in to the crystal clear water. There is a cave underwater that scuba divers used to have access to but it was barred up to prevent drownings. It was a gem and it should be restored to its former glory.

It is still a magnificent place and was probably a great swimming hole to cool off in back in the day! All the swimming holes that I (Tammy) went to growing up have been shut down or closed off to the public. Thanks for watching!

My husband was from Albany. This was a beautiful place before the storm. My sister in law had her wedding and reception there. Thanks for the memories.

What a beautiful, peaceful, soothing place that is. It always gets me that wherever so many of these lovely places are, there are so few visitors. It's a shame about the pool, but it's in such a perfect location. a great tour, Tim and Tammy 👏🌿👏

We didn't see anyone over at the Springs, however, there were a couple of cars parked by the walking track at the beginning of the video. We had this lovely place all to ourselves! Thanks for watching!

Good morning you both, what a beautifull place. In Germany it would be a "Kurort ", or spa in English with hundreds of people in the water, hoping of healing from sickness, and of course a town with hotels, restaurants and touristic amusements. Greatings from your German fans 👍 🇺🇸 🇩🇪

Radium Springs is just outside of Albany, Georgia where there are many tourist destinations including restaurants and hotels. Still can't figure out how we didn't know about Radium Springs until Adam the Woo passed through about two months ago. We've been to Albany many times and even filmed a couple of videos there, but Radium Springs just flew under our radar I guess! Thanks for watching!

I (Tammy) so love the comments that point me towards history I have never heard about! Didn't know about the Radium Girls, but now I'm listening to the book by Kate Moore! Thanks for pointing me in that direction! Thanks for watching!
