I personally love yinchin's skin. We all wanted a western pirate so the fact that we at least have that skin as an option to look more like a western pirate makes me feel a lot better. Also it looks like it's straight out of bloodborne and I dig that. I put the all black apollyon color palette on that skin and it almost looks like a female Father Gascoigne

One thing that would Hugely improve Ramiel for me, Is if we got the option to Put Down the visor on his helm.

I'd love it if Ubisoft would actually give us story mode character skins. Either as a whole skin, or discoverable bodyparts would be very nice (though seperate parts would mean more freedom to customize a character to your liking) and an actual berserk for berserkr. Begone with that weird looking wolf hat. Not sure how to explain it, but it looks out of place. An actual animal skin (either a wolf or bear) as a coat ('serk') would be awesome. Also, there is some kind of accuracy to Maddox breaking his oath to save his people. To the old Scandinavians, honor is a very important thing (as is with many ancient cultures) but they were also more pragmatic. Not surprising considering Scandinavia is a pretty harsh place to survive in the old days. If keeping your oath means to led your people starve, you'd be a terrible leader/chieftain. Breaking your oath will put quite a dent in your honor for some time, but if it's to save your people then that in time would be considered the more honorable thing to do.

Ramiel is unironically my favorite. The elven part with the long golden hair is just incredible design. The armor is a bit oversized but its not entirely counter historical due to some kings opting to wear oversized armor given they wouldnt be doing any fighting anyway. They would be protected from arrow and crossbow fire.

I feel that all raiders' skin really needs is for the color and material to be more visible. If it was like that, then it wouldn't be that bad.

Yinchen is my favorite skin only because it reminds me alot of like a werewolf/ vampire slayer look to it and kinda reminds of bloodborne

- Great: 1. Oathbreaker Maddox - What all viking drip should look like 2. Inquisitor Yinchen - Love the design and colours 3. Conquistador Vela - I love the skin but unfortunately it was made for a hero with one of the highest drip factors - Good: 4. Commander Ravier - Looks cool, I like the tapestry and the baldwin mask but is a tad edgy 5. Baigujing - The true hero skin of the journey to the west event in my eyes, looks decent - Better than bolthorn: 6. Wukong - I hated this skin at first but it grew on me. On one hand, the skin is finely detailed and fits with the monkey thing the shaolin has going on but on the other, there's too much going on and not in the best way. He looks a bit out of place and falls into the bad middle ground of looking playful and whimsical and looking serious. At least we finally got a wu lin hero skin 7. Lord Ramiel - Not bad ig but the armour makes no sense + it stitches back and forth like fabric when u move and I cannot ignore it. 8. Yokai Slayer Meiko - Looks too overdone for me. I never realized that problem with the Ramiel skin actually but now that you said it I can't unsee it. The dude looks like Legolas, but is built like a brick. Having his face look just a bit older, or just covering it with his awesome looking mask would have just made it so much more cohesive in design.

I m rep 50 hl and don't really get what s the hype with the maddox skin. Yes it looks good no doubt. But hl already has chainmail chest pieces. They just gave him a bear helmet and pants. It makes him look even more viking than scott if that s a good thing. It literally is just breach guardian/commander skin

Interesting that Maddox gets the top spot because I'd put him in the same category as Ramiel and Vela. He could have easily been just a new Highlander armor set and doesn't really do anything to elevate the fantasy or class lore in the way that Wukong, Seiko, and Ravier do. Also Yinchen goes at the very bottom (yes, below burnt toast Bolthorn) of my list because f**k the pirate and an inquisitor skin is wasted on that class. It should have obviously been Peacekeeper.

Only thing i disagree with is ravier being so high, if put ravier below warmonger just because hes kinda boring imo. Other than that, i basically 100% agree. Good list. New viking hero in February! Get plundering

I've bought the Ramiel skin and even tho it has some flaws it looks decent, but then i realized my custom made warden skins looks much better than ramiel's fat ass i've stopped using it.

Ramiel having an Elven design is not a problem. The problem is that they let the same immature people of the dev team have a hand in the skin that ruin much of the rest of the game too, so he looks like a 9-year-old went into an MMORPG, picked an Elven knight and maxed out all the body sliders.

I agree the Highlander skin is great but the sword blade is more a baseball bat than an actual blade. It looks bad, almost like straight out of WoW, and he has so many other swords that are absolutely glorious and you are locked out of ALL OF THEM. That's why I won't buy the skin.

Feels weird that we have this many now, my rankings are 2 different ones, fashion and Character wise Character wise: 1. Meiko, her event was so fun, and i love her look 2. Maddox, his lore feels refreshing and new unlike every same introduction to the outlanders 3. Ravier, she is so commanding and very interesting 4. Wukong, you summed up what i feel bout this monke well 5. Ramiel, him being the first warden of his land is pretty cool ngl. Also being friends or having a pact or whatever with a wyvern is epic 6. Vela, while i was hoping for a lb skin, she does what I wanted for that skin in hers and she was the antithesis to the entire theme of that season which while counterintuitive was pretty cool 7. White bone spirit, the skin we werent supposed to have but so glad we do because all she wanted to do was tell a story 8. Yinchen, she started off a better year, but slowly. Not really a huge fan of her background but she has other redeeming factors, not her lore 9. Bolthorn, i just dont like him Fashion: 1. Meiko the asymmetricality is so good, it feels like something completely new 2. Ravier her mask and shield gives a "conquer or be conquered" vibe and i love that cuz shes a knight 3. Vela what you can do with her armor is miles better than ramiel 4. White bone while i dont like that you cant change the colors it looks fine on its own i don't see it too bad 5. Wukong funny monke 6. Yinchen its armor that i wanted for default pirate 7. Maddox not a huge fan of the contrast between the head and the chainmail 8. Well, i personnaly think Yinchen is one of the best if not THE best hero skin. Let me explain I get your point why you don't like the idea of the chiness pirate hero looking like a "knight" inquisitor. But in my case i find that so brilliant and fantastic, i would for exemple love to see a Warlord skin knight looking, why not a Valk spartan. It kinda weird and cool at the same time, giving us some cross faction character. But if i have to be really honest, every hero skin sucks AF. They all should have been new fully customisable set for each character who got them, If at least hero skin have something unique, like for exemple unique voiceline (and i mean complete new voice line) to make them stand out, why not. But right now it sucks ass Just hope that Ubi give us Maddox armor for all viking, especialy for the new one that is coming

I may be coming in late for my input but in regards to maddox. I love the skin but the lore is just a kick in the teeth considering what hero his skin is for. He is a Highlander and being one myself i can tell you the Ubi devs did not do their research into how we celtics work and our culture. Maddox commited two of the biggest taboos for celtics Oath breaking and Kin slaying. By doing these things any self respecting Highlanders would distance themselves from him or even mark him for a vengence killing in order to set his crimes right as by celtic standards he may appear civilised due to his gear but they would view and descibe him as a savage
