You forgot some songs. The 2011 Beyond Magnetic EP had 4 Metallica exclusive song in it and you skipped it (though you actually passed by this EP several times while browsing on Spotify): Hate Train, Just a Bullet Away, Hell & Back, Rebel of Babylon. There is also the Lords of Summer song, recorded as a single in 2014 and that you can find on the HTSD deluxe edition as well as 3 covers they recorded between 2008 and 2014 (Remember Tomorrow, Ronnie Rising Medley, When a Blind Man Cries) They also recorded during the 2020 lockdowns the Blackened 2020 as a single, which is an accoustic modified version of Blackened. And you can also find on a tribute album to Ennio Morricone (titled "We All Love Ennio Morricone") the song "The Ecstasy of Gold" (that always introduces their shows) that they recorded as a cover song playing it on a heavy metal style. That's about all you can find on the streaming platforms that they recorded (outside of any collaborative track they made with other artists), but there are some few other covers they recorded during the XXIrst century era that you can't find on the streaming platform. They are quite rare to find, located on some very specific singles, and only die hard Metallica fans heard of those (most of them being some Ramones covers)

Helpless is by Diamond Head. The Metallica cover(along with their cover of the Prince) is missing several parts of the original song.

When you ranked Hit the Lights, you mentioned Dave not being credited, which I found funny because it was actually written by Ron and James with Jim Mulligan and Troy James in their previous band Leather Charm. I do agree with the Jump in the Fire royalties joke, though, that's just straight up a Dave solo song.

As much as I love Metallica and St Anger, Purify chorus is just pain to listen to.

I don't listen to Metallica often at all, but I will say my favourite is probably The Frayed Ends of Sanity. Justice overall is a cut above the rest imo but that song especially is perfect. Harvester of Sorrow, Trapped Under Ice and Motorbreath are up there too.

I grew up as a big Metallica fan in what I consider their PRIME era, 1980s. I concur with the overall assessment of your choices, more or less, in that their first 4 albums were incredible: I view KEA, RTL, MOP, AJFA as masterpieces. I would put every song from these in top bracket. Black was a solid commercial hard rock/metal blend for radio and wider audiences, which worked at that time (but has gotten worse over the decades as being too over produced and clean). These songs mostly are 2nd bracket. Metallica QUICKLY went down hill from there in musical importance. Very few good songs in all their albums after Black. I believe the real talents were Mustaine (huge influences on KEA and RTL), Burton (was a God on the first 3 albums), and Newsted. These loses I believe really harmed Metallica after the 90s. Lars and Hetfield are indeed talented, no dispute, but I think they needed more supporting musicians and Hammett and Trujilo just don't have that magic that Mustaine and Burton brought, and to some extent Newsted.

Wow, we have very different opinions here. You sorted them in a pretty even spread list, yet I would put every song in SSS EXCLUDING their covers of Free Speech for the Dumb, Loverman, Killing Time, Overkill, Damage Case, Stone Dead Forever, and Too Late Too Late. All their albums are perfect, and every single one could be my favorite from them. I could rant on and on for hours on each individual track, and pains me every time you put anything under SSS, even those 7 tracks I mentioned would through between A and Double SS, AND GO CHECK OUT THE BEYOND MAGNETIC EP, IT IS AT LEAST 122 ¾ /10, well so is every other release but cool! Oh, and Lulu, isn't... cannon in the Metallica discography..... 😐

Go listen to St. Anger live and say most of the album is actually better than the St. Anger song. Cuz objectively they just aren't. Unforgiven 3 over 1? Mostly agreeable, but from this list it is clear you have not listened to most of these played live.
