Hatebreed does the best cover of Slayer's "Ghosts of war". My personal opinion being a Slayer fan from Aggressive perfecto forward.

Killswitch Engage End of Heartache Live dvd is one of the most memorable to me. Great live mix for the time and the crowd went hard too. Love me some 2000s metalcore

Works for me. I can drum along on my steering wheel on the way to and from places. Some of the riffs he comes with are WTF!!! how does someone play that consistantly

Grunge was a scene more than a genre (which is why STP and Smashing Pumpkins weren’t really ‘grunge’ bands either).

Lars is a shitty Drummer, period. Dude can’t keep tempo and only has endurance to play loud but not great. He’s lucky he didn’t have to play like Dave Lombardo cause he would of been fired immediately

One of my favorite metal bands, Sonata Arctica has done some amazing metal covers. Die with your boots on by Iron Maiden, fade to black by Metallica, and I want out by Helloween. I also love their cover of still loving you by scorpions

I really like how he uses cymbal grabs to do dead stops, or his quarter note bass and cymbal stop/grabs going into the tapping solo in Leper Messiah. Also, in Disposable Heroes you can hear this cymbal grab technique in the verses (in the second and last verses..i think) ... Really a great musical statement. simple and effective.

He is the master of Compositional Minimalism, and was my inspiration to have started playing music back in '88! And yes, I at one point owned a White Tama Stormtrooper, with Double Bass! fucking brilliant it was .
