🌸 🏫 Both Sakura Gakuin and BABYMETAL started in 2010. BABYMETAL was the "Heavy Music Club" sub-unit. 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning' was on 'Sakura Gakuin 2010 Nendo: Message', the first Sakura Gakuin album. 'Verishuvi' was on the second Sakura Gakuin album, 'Sakura Gakuin 2011 Nendo: Friends'. The Vega mix version of the BABYMETAL song 'iine!' was also on this second album. Verishuvi (or berishubi) is a nonsense do-wop word that was used in some Japanese Jazz songs. After they recorded the song, Sakura Gakuin members started using the expression "very shoovy" to mean something that's cool or interesting.

They are truly heartbreaking because we see how strong the friendship between the three girls and also between all of the SG members is. About Sakura Gakuin and BABYMETAL "timeline", it started together, BABYMETAL started with Sakura Gakuin as one of its sub units. During idol festivals and Sakura Gakuin shows Su, Yui and Moa would perform as Sakura Gakuin and also as BABYMETAL on the same festival/show, it is all the same group, all formed on 2010. BABYMETAL performed like that untill 2012 when they had their fist solo concerts. In 2013 Su graduated from Sakura Gakuin, and BABYMETAL became "independent" of Sakura Gakuin. Yui and Moa would still perform on both grups untill they also graduated from Sakura Gakuin around 2 years later.

You have OFFICIALLY entered the foxhole! Cherry Blossom Academy is the name of the school. Sakura Gakuin is this group of girls. All are between the ages of 10 and 15. It's a four year school. My personal G.O.A.T. idol is in this group. Her name is Nene Sugisaki and she has gone on to be a nurse like her mother. One girl Ayami Muto has a solo career and is doing quite well in Japan. 2 have become models. 1 has become a voice actress for anime. They are all pretty talented. SG songs are good songs if you don't require metal music. I've been seeing this stuff for well about 6 years now and still enjoying it. The Amuse talent agency set up Sakura Gakuin as and idol group and also as a way to develop young talent. It uses the theme of school and there is turnover in the membership as when a girl reaches 15 she "graduates" and leaves the group, hopefully to go onto success in other groups or as a solo artist. Su is the one dancing just a bit too energetically (8:31) and Moa (appears at 8:23) and Yui (8:08) are the smallest...don't tell Moa that though. While it's easy to concentrate on Su, Moa and Yui in this video it's interesting to also look at Ayami Muto (seen at 8:24 in front). She was in Karen Girls with Su and is a featured singer in many SG songs. After she left SG, Amuse launched her as a solo idol, but she never really took off. While Su has found great success within the frame work of Babymetal, Ayami left Amuse and has taken time off to study and travel and is just now trying to get her career going again. Some of the girls have made it as singers, models or actresses, but many never make the transition to working in entertainment as adults. It all looks like great fun, but the work for Amuse was on top of their regular school work and lives so they were all working super hard. This was SG's second single and the "B-side" was "Sakura Hyakunin Isshuu" which I enjoy far more. It sets some classical Japanese poems within a rap song. Su, Moa and Yui all have individual raps. Yui's is Hyakunin Isshuu #77 and is called "Parting Ways", yep, now dry that tear, and it translates as this. I don't really see comments actually explaining what Sakura Gakuin is, so... Sakura Gakuin is a "limited-growth period" idol group. Only girls aged 10-15 are allowed to be in the group. Once they reach their final year, which is the 3rd year of middle school, they have to graduate the next year and more girls get added in, which created the group's longevity. (Although they are ceasing all activities this year.) Even though the English translation is "Cherry Blossom Academy", it's NOT a school. It's just a school-themed idol group. And it being school themed, they also had 'school clubs' like the cooking club (which also had Moa and Yui!) and the science club. BABYMETAL was the 'heavy music' club. The years of Sakura Gakuin that had Su, Moa, and Yui together are the years 2010-2012. Su graduated SG in 2013. However, even though Su graduated from the group, BABYMETAL was able to spin-off from SG so that the group could still continue to perform, even after Su's graduation. Yui and Moa would continue to perform with SG until their graduation in 2015. Even though the heavy music club wasn't a club anymore, SG would continue to perform BABYMETAL songs in special concerts. There's an audio somewhere on KZfaq, 3 of the girls from the 2017 'class' were performing Gimme Choco. Coincidentally, that SG performance of Gimme Choco featured Kano, one of BABYMETAL's 3 'avengers'! It's also worth noting that Su and Ayami (the girl who sang the last line in the song) were in another idol group before Sakura Gakuin called Karen Girl's and that's where BABYMETAL's producer got the inspiration for BABYMETAL from :)

Sakura Gakuin isn't an actual school. It is an idol group with a school theme. They all still went to normal school as well as doing all this extra stuff. BABYMETAL wasn't after Sakura Gakuin, it WAS Sakura Gakuin. It was the heavy music club, then after around three years of doing BABYMETAL it reached the point where the girls were going to graduate SG, but BABYMETAL was so popular they split off and became their own thing.

You should watch one of the first BABMETAL interviews, with Scoopers, part of Sa (さ) Ku (く) Ra (ら) Gaku (学) In (院). The melody at the beginning is old. I think it's something about square dancing. Or the Hokeypokey?

Japanese is a very consistent language in matters of pronunciation, letters always have a sound and the sound it's always the same, not like english where the sounds change everytime like the A in Apple is different from the A in Amy... or don't have a sound at all like the E at the end of Brave. So, to know how to read japanese all you have to do is remember the sound of the vowels, if you remember those five sounds you're gonna know how to pronounce every word properly. A as in Alaska E as in Enter I as in India O as in Old U as in Super And that's it, now you can read the name of the songs. 😆

Easiest way to find Moa and Yui is simply to look down lol they are the two shortest. So Amuse is a talent agency, they sign actors, models, comedians, singers, dancers, they have a kids division and run various projects involving the kids that have signed with them, Sakura Gakuin is one of those projects. It is a group made up of the most talented girls they have aged between 10 and 15 where they simulate a performing arts school, even though they are pretending to be a school they actually do use it to train the girls in all aspects of the performing arts to get them ready to go onto careers after they graduate at 15. The girls all go to normal schools during the day then travel to do Sakura Gakuin after school finishes. It's a little confusing. This year is their final year as they have decided to disband and they did not take on any new girls for this year and the final group will all graduate in July, which is very sad. Btw Japanese do not roll Rs and the vowels are pronounced A=ah, E=eh, I=ee, O= oh (as in hot) and U is oo (as in flute) so Sakura Gakuin is Sah-koo-rah Gah-koo-een

*Babymetal* and *Sakura Gakuin* were contemporary, as *Babymetal* was just one of the *Sakura Gakuin* sub-units at first; at this point, late 2011, *Babymetal* already had two songs inside *Sakura Gakuin:* _Doki Doki Morning_ and _Iine!_ Each one of those girls were in the main unit but also spread in some little *SG* sub-units: baton club, pastry club...heavy music club, where they put Su and the two tiniest girls from the show and they made a little band for fun inside the club, whose name was *Babymetal.* It seems it grew a bit after that. Oh and the show is ending this summer, it is still going on. They will make a final event where it seems they might invite all the girls that have appeared in the show, and they are publishing a commemorative book that includes Su, Moa and...Yui, who has not make public apparitions since october 2017, so people is anxious to see how much is she going to be involved in the ending events. Yui and Moa are harder to spot as they were smaller and different from how they look in *Babymetal,* but I think you gazed them and weren't sure to say it. First thank you for reacting to Sakura Gakuin. Second Sakura Gakuin and BABYMETAL was founded at the same time. Suzuka, Moa, Yui all stayed into their graduation of their respective year. Su March 2013, Moa and Yui March 2015, as for Momoko, March 2018, and Kano it was supposed to be March 2020 but was delayed until August 2020 due to COVID. It's not a school, it is a school concept Developmental Idol group, meaning members of Sakura Gakuin not just do music and dancing but learn all aspects of entertainment such as modeling and acting. In fact in the video you showed has one of Japanese biggest actresses Ayaka Miyoshi, who in Japan are far bigger name than BABYMETAL. As for the song, it's very old one of their first. They're songs only got better. BABYMETAL started within Sakura Gakuin as a Sub unit. The first BM song was at a Sakura Gakuin Festival. Sakura Gakuin will end sadly August 31 2021. You should very much go deeper into this. However please watch some of their newer songs. Such as My Road.
