Tor had the chance to keep Kawhi but they didn't want to trade away Siakim so it's Tor own decision. Clippers stepped up and took the risk of trading a lot of their future. Since Tor already won a title, they thought perhaps felt it was no longer worth the risk of sacrificing one of their best new players. C'est la vie!
