On duty time is 0700 in Orangeville Yard, they run Tuesdays & Fridays but only ‘as needed’ (last Tuesday and even this past Tuesday have been quiet on the OBRY from what I’ve heard but very likely they’ll run this coming Friday). On a typical operating day they switch the last rail customers in Orangeville only before going south to CP to swap the empties for the new loads & a typical operation day goes from 7am to around 2-4pm ish so yes on normal operating days they do run between 10am-2pm

Definitely would be fun, not 100% yet but I just may try to get this upcoming Friday Nov 12 off work for a OBRY chase as long as they don’t run on a Tuesday because seems this train is down to about once a week now and boy I gotta act fast in case it decreases to even less than that soon which just might happen with deduction of rail traffic as them customers slowly prepare for the permonant switch to trucks. I can let you know the day before If you’d like if I am able to make it to Orangeville? And ya definitely wouldn’t hurt to at least put a bright yellow Caution sign up saying “Look both ways for Trains” like what a lot other back roads crossing have which only got Crossbucks for protection but wouldn’t make much sense now with the line said to be falling dark in less than 2 months now. I got so many fond memories of walking those tracks myself in Downtown and actually I resonantly read a article saying that the municipality of Brampton actually HAS PURCHASED the railway right of way south of the Diamond where the new 45 Railroad st high rises are going for redevelopment so ya seems like it will in fact be pretty tuff to tell the line ran through that spot in maybe even just 2 years🙄 (if they can remove the tracks there next spring & redevelop the land fast during the summer so it’ll look very nice for opening day of 45 Railroad apartments.
