Try my version of green smoothie.. Don't know how many calories but definitely taste amazing... 100ml of coconut water or pineapple juice or tap water, 5 cubes of frozen mango, 4-5 grapes, 1 small clementine, tiny piece of ginger and finally 1 cup of spinach and kale.. Blend into nutri bullet and u can't resist urself drinking this every single day.

You had me at the carb count! I'm type 1 diabetic and I have to count the carbs in everything I eat so I know how much insulin to take - which gets really hard with things like smoothies, so something like the prep pad would be really useful for type 1's!

You and fully raw Kristina are two of the only people on KZfaq who actually drink the smoothies that they make. Other people just put the glass on the table, or hold the smoothie in their hand and stare at it. I am glad that you actually enjoy the smoothies that you make.

This smootie looks delish! I do mine just like that but i add mango, kale, chia seeds 1 stalk of celery and instead of coconut water which i must try....i squeese a few oranges and add some water!! Omg it is so sweet and so amazing! No will know how good it is until they try it them selves!

Wow, that gadget is soo cool. Much better than Chronometer. Please do more videos using it. Also pleaseeee do a skincare routine video. You have beautiful skin :-)

Colour looks amazing. I like prep pad. I road tested it but at the time I did not have the iPad but May have to revisit again but I do think it is very good.

I have just come across these scales when looking online to replace my own and being on the Green Smoothie diet myself I am glad to see a review on this. It being mid-end 2015 now I was wondering how well the software had been updated? One thing though, it's always best to place the green leaf in first (next to the blades) or it'll end up partially chopped. I should imagine that the final smoothie was a completely different one based on how smooth it looked, but that's editing for you.

That is sooo cool. I've often thought of using a scale to measure my fruit and veggies. It would be especially helpful when people do raw recipes because not all zucchini sizes or basil amount are the same. Thanks Again!

Thanks for sharing your videos. I am saving money for a better Vitamix. Right now, I have the 2 speed one from QVC. I wish I could have sent it back before the limit. It doesn't work the way yours does. My smoothies come out like a liquid. It's mostly chuncky.

It looks like it'd taste amazing...but my question is... wouldn't that be too much sugar in one 'meal' ? I'm very curious because I'm going to incorporate more raw food into my eating habits but I don't want to consume too much sugar.

When eating fruit your eating simple sugars easily used by our trillion cells as fuels, when eating fruit in the whole form there is no such thing as too much sugar.

I agree that there is too much sugar in there. But I am not an 80 10 10er. Maybe if you restrict your fat intake you can get away with it. I prefer low carbs and high fat ie the 10 10 80 LOL...

When you keep your fat intake low, your body can efficiently transport the sugars to each of our cells. Unmarked enamel from early hominids show that early humans ate a diet of mostly fruit. Our body's preferred fuel source is glucose. A fruit diet would be a great diet for a diabetic because it is low in the fats that clog insulin receptors.

The prep pad thing looks neat, but no android support=no buy. Once they add android support, I'll definitely go out and buy one. I could definitely see myself using something like that.

A little too high in sugar in my opinion, I would use a smaller amount of the fruit and throw in some protein powder, ground flax for extra fibre and a huge tbsp of coconut oil!! Then it would be an amazing muscle building fat burning smoothie :)

It's fruits. The fruits have natural sugar that is good for our bodies and they also have fiber which helps to control your blood sugar levels. You do not need to restrict fruit. They are good for you, they have a lot of vitamins/minerals, they are high in fiber, they give you good natural energy, they are high in antioxidants, etc.

naslisntxaij Oh yeah of course moderation definitely is key. But I know some people are so scared to eat fruit that they will only have a half a banana or only half an apple a day. When one whole banana or one whole apple is not going to kill them lol. In fact, eating 1 banana plus 1 Apple in a day is not going to kill them either. Especially if they aren't diabetic. Some people freak out over how much fruit they eat, when they should be more worried about processed or fried/greasy foods.

There is a reason type 2 diabetics are still able to eat fruit and that is because the fiber slows the absorption of fructose in the body. This is pretty well studied and in fact large quantities of fruit eaten will not spike your blood sugar like a soda will.

+Rachelle Burke greens combine well with every acidic fruit out there except watermelons, they need to be eaten on their own :)

From all the food combining info I've read, I thought you weren't supposed to mix a sweet fruit (banana) with an acid fruit (pineapple). It's been driving me crazy because I'm not sure if smoothies are an exception to the food-combining rules; for ex, bananas and berries or bananas and oranges.

There's that phrase again, "You are what you eat". She doesn't look like a plant to me. ... She mumbled the amount of the smoothie's calories. 552 calories? ... I was wondering how a green smoothie is made sweet. She used one green and the rest is fruit.
