That vengeance battle with Pussycat was probably the only time Razer lost that didn't involve any technical difficulties or controversy, it legitimately knocked it out by chipping the drive-train. Funny considering that I never really considered Pussycat that great of a bot aside from being reliable.

Imo, Pussycat was quite possibly THE hero of Robot Wars. It came from a team that fought from start to end, who were one step away from the title twice. It's almost never lost without putting up a great fight, it's overcome great challenges and beaten the likes of Hypno-Disc, Panic Attack, Razer and was one of few that could go toe-to-toe with Chaos 2 in its prime. It won so many battles, the team came through a great tragedy and it finished Robot Wars on a high note. Pussycat, forever a legend.

It's not the entire Razer team that has poor sportsmanship, it's just Ian Lewis. Simon was admirable in the post match interview from the first match as he praised Pussycat for its efforts. Vincent also seemed quite decent.

Not to mention Pussycat's driver drives that bot really well for such a unique design.

Pussycat was a beauty; completely versatile, impossible to be flipped and a devastating saw. Though i still liked Razer better, the penetration of that arm was ridiculous. "Who's having kittens now?"...epic.

I will be totally hated after saying this, but this is just beautiful.) Razer may be a good robot itself but his team is a pack of assholes. They totally ruin everyone because their robot is technically much more advanced, than any other robot, but when they are getting rekt--they start to outrage and attempt to stop others from destroying their defeated robot. Just like they are more special than other teams, who they tear apart no matter what. This battle is great and it is a lesson for such immature and cruel players as them.

At least it was a fair loss. Unlike Tornado who changed weapons, and used an anti-crusher/pit frame. Which should have been banned just like the anti-disk weapon.

Vengeance battle is another word for "we're sore losers and want another go now we know how you fight"

The thing about robot wars is that some robots have advantages over others but they also disadvantage over others, for example razer has an advantage over tornado (except for that thing around it in the 6th wars) because its an easy target, although cause pussycat is an awkward shape it is harder for razer to grip it, but pussycat has a disadvantage over tornado because of pussycats awkard shape can easily get pushed around by tornado especially when pussycat is standing up ( And by the way im not a razer fanboy im a pussycat fanboy)

The first time when Razer and Pussycat met, it was in Robot wars series 4 in the Heat B final. And the second when they've met, it was on the Main Event of Robot wars Extreme Show 4.

@trewarner06 He's not just upset about the damage, he's upset that Pussycat kept attack them after they were already immobolised. Razer does do a lot of damage to robots but then they leave their opponants alone after they are immobolised.

I'm sorry to all of you Razer fans out there, but I just had an inner joy watching these vids. Don't get me wrong, Razer is a mighty machine. It's just surprising how it's lost to Pussycat (a robot with a ridiculous design that I think is just too weird) so easily.

Here's an interesting fight: Razer vs. Biohazard from Battlebots. I'd like to see that one.

@Fireworkatheart actually, it is a fantastic example. 2 of the 3 members decided with no persuasion to hand it over, 1 of which being the captain, and the 3rd member agreed with persuasion to do so too, it wasnt the end of team razer, it was the end of the robot razer, which was going to retire anyway that had nothing to do with the handing over of the trophy. the razer team is infact still currently together with their robot venom, so how the team could have been ended years ago i dont know

@eishiba Pussycat blade struck the wheel compartment, causing the front wheels to hang lose. The could spin but can't cary the weight of razer anymore.

Aww, the House robots didn't even 'play' with Razer. It was just shoved straight into the pit. Give the Pussycat boys some credit, people.

Since Jonathan Pearce didn't seem to work it out... the reason the Razer team were upset was because Pussycat continued to attack *after* Razer was immobilised. I did like Pussycat though, it was a fun design, and highlighted Razer's problem with spinning blades/discs, which it managed to avoid being paired against for the most part.

this is true, but robot wars also didn't allow certain robots into the competitions because they were too powerful.

It lost 5 times all together, but 2 were by malfunctions, and one was by a Handicap Tornado.

@Fireworkatheart I agree with you, but I think that Razor was annoyed because they were imobile, and it takes along time and money to make the swooping curves of Razor.Pussycat damaged the outside beyond repair. But it is true. Razor damages all the insides of other robots.And hypnodisc leaves no robot at all.But I think why that might be why People don't mind having their robot destroyed by hyponodisc, because it is fun to watch and Hypnodisc was one of the people who helped fix Biggerbrother

@coolcar100 not really, the flame pit like Bash's flamethrower is just for show, the heat it produces has claimed very few victims over the past... mainly just Diotior's fur. Robot wars has very few destructive weapons as part of the arena, unlike say battle bots. This makes things more interesting/fair and while they do less damage, they make for much better viewing then those of again, say battle bots.

As I've told you before, Pussycat weren't aware Razer had broken down. You can't take chances with robots like that. That's the same mistake Hypno-Disc made with Bigger Brother a year later, and look what happened there.

the razer team shoulda saved the little dignity they had. I think its just that pussy cat's mass is mostly in the back, and razer can't reach it, and Pussycat's blades cut up. I think Razer's wheels are vulnerable to a upper cut. Maybe other robots are too. but man, really unexpected

I agree, while Chaos 2 is revered for its powerful flipper in robot wars, it fails to impress me compared to flippers like the ones the inertia lab boys put out (Toro, T minus, El Matador) Mauler was deemed to destructive to enter RW! AlthoughI LOVE Warheads design, I was never impressed with its performance and didnt believe it to be as much of a threat as many made it out to be. It barely beat JC slammer, destroyed poorly built rookies, and got lucky aginst el matador.

Yeah, in another match, Razor was hoisting his victim into the air, but he fell into the pit instead. I laughed out loud!

They didn't, Wheely Big Cheese and Pussycat were never in the arena together. If they were, it was not a televised event.

What i don't get is why all those really god robots in series 6 and earlyer like hypnodisc, razor, pussycat, and chaos 2 didn't take part in series 7. I would've loved for them to battle against robots like gravity, storm 2, typhoon 2, tornado and the newly formed x terminator.

That isn't true. In the first fight, a hit from Pussycat damaged the electronics, keeping razer in forward drive. In the second fight, Pussycat broke a wheel. The reciever wasn't the problem in either case.

Razer never attacked a robot after it was immobilised and they made it very clear that they were beaten they even put the controls down and Pussycat continued to hammer them

@Fireworkatheart i think The reason why Tornado Won against Razer in series 5 (I think it was S5) might be beacuse 1) the razer team have no sportsmanship and 2) they wanted someone to beat Razer

Imo, Razer has the best weapon of any robot. Unfortunately it has weak armor and seems like one of the most unreliable^^ It's just lucky that Razer usually kills it's opponents before they have a chance to fight back.

'hypnodisc' is just crappy compared to 'son of whyachi' - THAT is an awesome spinbot! just as dangerous as a red shell in super smash bros, but with controlled direction! :3 anyway, i haven't understood what happened to razer here. watched it twice and i see nothing happening which might have caused that wheel-disfunction.

i love Razer, but the ability of PussyCat to hit his wheels is really killing him, and since Razer cant get a good grip on him, he just loses.
