You can do so much with just one kettlebell. My home workouts use two kettlebells: one lighter (32#) and one heavier (60#).

@@Reachrehabchiro could these be done with 60lbs or would they be too taxing on the shoulders? Thanks!
@Reachrehabchiro
@Reachrehabchiro 7 ай бұрын
It all depends on your capacity. If it feels like the weight is swaying you quite a bit after a few revolutions, it may be too much. Typically, the force will make you drop it before you injure a shoulder.

I just started doing these a few days ago. Maybe I’m not doing it right but I do feel it on my forearms and between the neck and shoulders. I don’t feel it on my Abs and sides Yet. Maybe you can tell me what I’m doing wrong
@Reachrehabchiro
@Reachrehabchiro Жыл бұрын
Forearms is fine as you’re gripping weight. If youre feeling it in the neck and shoulders, you’re probably unintentionally holding tension as a mild shrug of youre shoulders. Try a heavier weight and think of your arms as meat hooks where youre letting the weight keep your shoulders down away from your ears.

What does this guy sound like Ron Swanson? Anyway, I recently started implemented this exercise and I love it and have definitely started seeing way more visible abs and obliques.

Maybe? 😅🤷🏼‍♀️ Awesome! The point of it is not to get abs/obliques but can be a nice bonus!

@@Reachrehabchiro Yeah I know. I do a lot of core work because I compete in bjj and a strong core is a must. It is indeed a nice bonus.

Can you advise on sets and reps please?
@Reachrehabchiro
@Reachrehabchiro 5 ай бұрын
Sets and reps really don’t matter for this type of exercise. But something follow is five sets. One set consists of doing the movement until you start to feel fatigue or cant control as well as when you started. If you’re going for longer than 1 min then you need a heavier weight.

Does this work anything other than the core? Like shoulders, arms?
@Reachrehabchiro
@Reachrehabchiro 11 ай бұрын
Yes. Anytime you’re gripping a weight youre working arms: forearms to hold the weight, shoulders to keep your arm attached to your torso. You also get a little chest and back too.

Standing vs kneeling?
@Reachrehabchiro
@Reachrehabchiro 11 ай бұрын
You can do either. Kneeling will challenge your core/pelvic stability more as you can’t use your feet to stabilize.

What do you mean you feel nothing? You don’t feel that you have to counterbalance the weight to stay straight and centered? Try something heavier.
