After 3 long years *BAND-MAID* returned back to the US for their October 2022 US tour they were worried if the fans would remember them since last time, they performed in the states was back in 2019. But once they returned, they were pleasantly surprised on the reception they received. So surprised that *Kanami* was inspired to write a song during the tour later *Miku* and *Saiki* then began writing the lyrics and on January 9th 2023 *BAND-MAID* presented to the fans at TOKYO GARDEN THEATER. It had been several years since they went on tour and they were very moved by the love they received while on tour. This song was born during this US tour time and finished by the time they did The Last Rockstars shows a few months later.

When I listen to this song, it reminds me of the 10 years since our formation, which was never easy, and it's very emotional.😢 Miku wanted to be a vocalist and couldn't even play an instrument, but if she had continued as a lead vocalist, I don't think she would have achieved the success she has now. She gave way to Saiki for the music they were aiming for and started her new challenge as her rhythm guitarist. She also feels the depth and love of the members who have supported it behind the scenes. And if Miku had not taken on the role of frontwoman and lyricist in addition, the result would have been the same. Moreover, it would have been the same if Kanami had been just a lead guitarist, and without her extraordinary talent as a composer and arranger. Not to mention Akane and Misa. The existence of this band can only be described as a miracle. Above all, I think that each person's wonderful, ego-free humanity further enhances the musicality and charm of this band.🎉

When Miku & Saiki were writing the lyrics for this i think they were reliving the love they got from US crowds & their feelings flowed subconsciously onto the page :)

The key person from a PR pov is Miku. She is the spokeswoman for the band. There are hints that the pigeon is a persona crafted by Miku, to make the band more memorable. Just the differences between her stage voice and normal speaking voice is a big clue.

That is the reason why they filmed this ＭV in ＵSA, I assume. We, Japanese fans, were honored to enjoy its live debut on Jan.9. I was there at Tokyo Garden Theater. The audience was soothed by two serial songs "About Us" and "Memorable".

Miku has vitality, strong desire, and ambition. Everything started when Miku brought her idea to the management office. The idea of "Maid playing intense music". Kanami, Akane, and Misa, who had musical talent, wanted to make a living with music. Saiki was scouted by a management office because of her appearance, and she was modeling, dancing, acting, and singing, but she was looking for what she really wanted to do. If you compare the members to a car, Kanami is the steering wheel, Saiki is the driver, Akane and Misa are like strong suspension and wheels, and Miku is like a powerful engine and explosive fuel. At the same time Miku is the front face of the car.

Filmed outside Lancaster, California in LA County. She is about two miles from Lancaster which has a population of 160,000. This place is called Antelope Valley. The name Ko means small and bato is pigeon. And yes Miku formed the band in its entirety. Miku is and always has been spokespigeon in charge. You don't need a promoter when you have a small pigeon. Putting out 140 songs in less than ten years makes them the most prolific band this millennium. They have a very heavy touring schedule but you can always expect at least a single and an album every year. Who else put out music at the rate of one album and one single per year? That would be the Beatles. They work their asses off. This video was filmed when they played the Palladium on Sunset Blvd as opening act for the LRS.

They recently supported The Last Rockstars in the US. Had a spare five minutes and sent poor Miku out to the desert. The concert footage is from the Tokyo Garden sell out of 8000 people. People will have already mentioned it was written as a thank you when they could at last perform in front of crowds and the warm reception they had during the US tour. As for the face of the band. Miku has always been the spokesperson and the front woman and the one who had the idea of the band. Brought them together and was able to find a great singer and take a step back. Miku also seems to have encouraged the others more over the years to take the front of the stage. But no Miku, No Band Maid.

Everyone has their favourite member. Miku- her bubbly nature and because without her this band would not exist. Kanami- Her child like nature opposite her ferocious guitar work. Saiki- Its all about her reserved nature and that fantastic voice. Misa- "That bass, that bass", probably the first name folks think of after Miku. Akane- The smile behind that brilliant druming.

Miku is the "spokesperson" of the band.....She formed the band, and the others don't really want to involved in all that. However because Saiki is the Frontwoman/lead singer, 9 times from 10 she accompanies Miku with/in the promotional area. Their Radio program in Japan is a prime example.

Miku is definitely the front woman for Band Maid. The others would be glad to have her assume the title. Saiki has become more prominent in the last couple of years,but it's Miku that fully embraces the Maid persona and gets the crowd fired up at every concert. She is a small dynamo of energy !

Miku, the small pigeon, is face of the group for almost all public relations that they have. For album wise, they almost not have anything scheduled for June and December, thus I’m thinking of album releases at this timeframes🤞

I suppose if you measure the concept of "being the face of" by the sheer number of media appearances, Miku would come out on top. She also tends to be the first person to say something in group interviews & promotions. When they get on stage, however, it's five talented and brilliant performers who are the face of Band-Maid.

Saiki slays these ballads. Miku is in CA. The Joshua trees in the background are a tip off. MISA plays without her pick. I think Kanami has a pick in her mouth so she can switch to fingerstyle and back to normal on her PRS in the video. The song is a tribute to their US fans.

Japan "sort of" has a desert. It's the Tottori Sand Dunes. Although it looks more like the Sahara rather than where Miku-chan was wandering around in -- the California High Desert. :)

Yes. Kobato is the face of the band. You can see her in the centre of almost all bandmaid photos. However every member of the band has strong character, charm accompanied by their own unique sound, so every fans have their favourite hero in the band.

The film location was apparently just East of Lancaster, CA, just NE of LA, most likely filmed during their transition from NY to LA, as the OA for the TLR tour. Miku is the Master brain pigeon of this Band Maid Movement. As for LP/EP, Band Maid always has a trick or 2 up their sleeves, i.e., 4/1/2023 or Day of Maid in May. With Kanami's stringent work ethics (strict song writing timelines), you can guarantee something will come out of her music filing system this year, perhaps, in the early Autumn just before the last leg of the 10th Anniversary tour.🦍🍌

I can never think of just one member but I can see Miku being the lead person, actually as of late Miku and Saiki have teamed up and been at the forefront. Someone said the desert scenes were filmed at Joshua Tree in California when they were there backing up The Last Rockstars.

I may not understand the nuance of "recognized," but I feel that if any member of this band were to be missing or replaced, this band could no longer be called BAND-MAID. I think MIKU is just playing the role of frontwoman because none of the members want to stand out.
