The inconvenient truths about this subject are generally glossed over, treated as extreme outliers, or are labeled as right wing conspiracy and fear mongering because to acknowledge otherwise is to admit that they’re basically willing to see some cis children mutilated irreversibly so that potential trans kids can be happier. That’s the cold truth of it.

I felt so sad for her. I watched that video last night. All 8 of them agreed that kids are socially influenced to being trans bc it is trendy. TikTok is loaded with people claiming to be trans, non-binary, etc. Luka was a de-transitioner and when she told her story, most of the others kinda dismissed her by blaming her parents, doctors for mis-diagnosing her. IMHO in case of small kids but also teenagers - after most of them were deprived of books, culture, sport, religion, and any kind of _proper_ interests and were for years indoctrinated with psy-ops pouring on their heads from so called "social medias" which is as "social" as I m material for dancer :D the only thing they were left with was their own sexuality and egoism and narcisism. When you dont have anything of value to be protected about or to be interested about or to be creative about, eventualy you create your own fictional world based on the topics they left you with - sadly it was only their sexuality.

@@gigahorse1475 That IS my point. I'm trying to says that hundreds of thousands of kids are misdiagnosing themselves due to social conformity. If someone treats them like they’re trans and not just the gender the identify as they lose their minds. They seem completely unhappy to me. So I question if they’re really “better off” now like they claim they are. Not only this, but they have to deal with being on medications and getting injections their whole lives. People who take cross sex hormones reduce their lifespan 10-15% on average. I don’t think they’re better off.

This radical trans agenda keeps being pushed onto innocent cisgender females who suffer with trauma and mental issues. Commenting on the whole “they weren’t trans, just gay instead”: I know you probably don’t mean _every_ detransitioner, but I do want to spread light on the fact that sometimes it’s just nothing but influence from people around them or trends or mental health issues. For example, while I thankfully didn’t go through surgery or hormones, I struggled with this identity of “oh, maybe I’m actually a trans-woman,” or “oh maybe I’m bisexual or gay or whatever.” When really it was none of that. I am a straight man who had an unstable identity due to my mental health condition, and at the time I wasn’t being treated for it. All of that being said, I find it most common for it not to “turns out they’re actually gay” but rather they are among the majority in being born as they are and being hetero yet having unresolved issues with identity that were not taken care of or groomed or both. There’s a reason why there’s a _huge_ and unrealistic increase of teen LGBTQ+ members. Hope that makes sense.

It should be required for anyone to go through intensive therapy for as long as it takes to figure out the situation in someone’s brain BEFORE they start cutting off body parts. On that note, she was saying a broad and general statement that is mostly true, Jordan Peterson touched it best. There are exceptions to the rule and they’re and these days the exception is kinda becoming the rule because of social media spreading this stuff, but before the social media the whole “if they’re trans as kids they’re most likely be gay as an adult” was and is a mostly true statement. My opinion on the matter is that Gender Dysforia (don’t know how to spell it) the way I see it is that the person has body dysmorphia and other mental disorders and on top of that their personalities don’t align properly to their gender/ the stereotype of their gender thus confusing them. However I could be wrong but the way people explain it sounds like that they’re uncomfortable in their own skin they hate their own bodies and want it to change desperately and that their personalities don’t align with the gender norm on top of that drives the transition. And sometimes it works and the people who transition are happy but they should not do that change as children period end of story.

As a transgender adult legitimately and thoroughly diagnosed with gender dysphoria, I fully agree that medical transition in any form, from hormones to surgeries, needs to be an absolute last resort. We are talking about seriously screwing with body chemistry as well as several forms of irreversible alterations. It's absolutely not to be taken lightly, and needs to be properly established, with the help of a competent professional through long enough therapy to exclude possible overlapping personality disorders, as well as looking into any traumatic background that may drive them to hate their biological sex, but without having the strong opposite-sex body identity that those of us actually suffering from gender dysphoria (and pretty badly so if I may say so myself) have. I'm personally against the growing movement of 'informed consent' -- serious measures require serious evaluation.

this is misleading. because sometimes surgeries are necessary lmao. not gender related, but for example, kidney, bone, muscle etc. many women have breast reduction surgery before 25, i've had arm surgery due to injuries etc. you'll be just fine when you are close to being an adult. at 17 and 18, doing stuff like breast implants, and other gender based surgeries, is completely fine. sure it may come with complications, but so does any form of bigger surgery. no one is claiming transitioning is all sunshine and flowers. literally nobody.

@@Celatra Of course, non-cosmetic procedures can be necessary at any age. I’m 19, I needed surgery for a nasty kidney stone that would have made me go septic if left untreated. My brain is not yet fully developed, but that surgery was the solution to a matter of life or death. However, “gender based surgeries” at 17 or 18 are not matters of life or death, and having these things done at such a young age does not exactly pave the way for a satisfied and healthy future. The amount of women who regret things like breast implants is staggering, about 65% to be more precise. Imagine what those numbers are in teenagers who believe they can alter their genetic makeup and somehow live a better life, even if that life is based on the premise of a lie. How would inverting a boy’s genitalia or removing a young girl’s breasts not leave them with some serious second guessing in years to come? And yes actually, the most vocal and influential “lgbt” activists out there are in fact arguing that transitioning is sunshine and flowers. Why do you think these debates are happening in the first place? Because there truly is a small subset of individuals out there claiming reassignment is the best treatment, which is false by every metric of the word. I hate to break it to you.

@@kylielebid i cant speak for everyone but no trans person i know, myself or anyone ive known, thinks transitioning changes their genetic makeup. what it does though, is change their appearance to more feminin/ masculine. sure not everything, but enough to satisfy most individuals. idiots claiming its risk free are stupid. it is not. nothing is. however, many who have gender dysphoria suffer more when they dont transition even with theraphy and medication, than vs when they transition, DESPITE the complications transitioning does.

I have my whole life been a very blunt no nonsense person so you can only imagine how hard it is for me being surrounded by my peers who are all brainwashed and deranged. I remember being 12 and first introduced to gender ideology and I thought it was all nuts! I couldn’t believe how everyone else around me didn’t instantly pick up on this, and how they were all going along with the indoctrination. And then the apathy towards it all that I see from the remaining ones who didn’t get indoctrinated. Even tho they realize it’s all lies they go along with it out of fear. TurkeyTom is a great example of this. He’s 20 and was basically saying “yeah I know the TRAs are all crazy. But it’s not like they’re ever going away. This is just reality now. No use is fighting it.” And the f**ked up thing was, most gen Zers agree with that sentiment. They’ve all become so jaded and nihilistic they don’t even have it in them to stand up for the truth and what is right! Even tho it’s scary sometimes I STILL argue with professors and honestly I’ve alienated myself from A LOT of my peers standing up for my beliefs. I’m 24, but every single friend I have is 35+. I don’t have a single friend my own age.

Children transitioning is definitely one of those things that I have had my opinion shift on as time has gone on. Years ago when I was a young teen, I thought that teens transitioning should be allowed because it was important for ones who had true gender dysphoria as allowing them to transition as soon as possible would reduce the chances of them committing suicide. Though this was when the majority of people transitioning had true gender dysphoria and becoming trans to be trendy wasn't a thing yet to my knowledge. In this day in age where teens are being told on TikTok that they should transition because they like certain things, act a certain way, or have some sort of internalized mysoginy for teen girls, it has definitely become an issue. Seems like therapists and doctors in this day in age usually care about the money and getting people hooked on HRT than actually properly diagnosing someone with gender dysphoria. I know there is also the issue of them being too scared to blatantly tell someone that they don't have gender dysphoria and therefore shouldn't transition because they are afraid of what will happen to them and their career if they go ahead and do so. I at this point believe firmly that FTM transitions should require the person transitioning to be 18+ in order to go ahead with it because the effects of testosterone are irreversible and it is a very serious decision to make. Though I don't feel as firmly with MTF transitions. Mainly because certain effects of male puberty such as the voice deepening are irreversible and transitioning younger would prevent that from happening and reduce the feeling of gender dysphoria in the person. I definitely think the idea of forcing all kids to take puberty blockers until they decide if they want to stick with their biological gender or transition is ridiculous because the amount of people with gender dysphoria statistically is very low. Also the fact that MTF transitioning is easily reversable. Biological men with gender dysphoria usually show it pretty early on and are typically have consistent behaviors displayed from a young age. Gender dysphoria is also statistically higher in men than it is in women. Although the amount of FTM transitions have been sky rocketing due to the issue I mentioned earlier of young, impressionable girls being influenced by social media. I do also understand that transitioning is still a pretty major decision for an MTF transitioner. Though there honestly just doesn't seem to be a perfect solution unless gender dysphoria could be 100% accurately diagnosed all of the time. I could somewhat see the age for a biological male to transition being 18 as it's still a serious body modification. Though it would definitely be unfortunate for a biological male who clearly has gender dysphoria at a young age to have to go through male puberty, still be an adult with gender dysphoria, and then finally be able to transition while having an irreversible deep voice (especially if the individual had my deep-ass voice, definitely no undoing a voice that deep). Overall, it is a very complex issue that I don't think has an easy solution for it and I get conflicted about it in my own head a lot.

I grew out of it after a few years, I am 29 years old now and I love my small boobs. When I think of that time I am like 'wtf was I thinking? lol' I am also a psychotherapist and have been going to therapy for years, so it's not like I was completely unaware of my identity. I know my story is not about gender, but I think it's a good example of how sometimes the way you 'feel' about yourself, it's not set in stone. Being confused about your body and your identity happens at any age. If a grown self-aware woman like me can feel confused about her body and change her mind after some time, a child can only experience the same 10x. I think it's obvious we are always evolving and major life changing decisions shouldn't be taken lightly. I am glad I was too poor to do a boob job because I would have hated it now lol if getting work done would have been part of free health care (I am in the UK), and would have been 'affirmed' so easily like it's done now with transgenderism, today I would have fake boobs merely because of a brief, trauma induced identity crisis. Side note, as a psychotherapist I am scared of ever getting a modern age transgender or non-binary person as a client. I work in private practice and I don't take on clients that struggle with these things because it's unethical for me to go along with their delusions. I would love to help them understanding the real reason why they feel a certain way, but I would get sued so nope. I am not working with them.

@@Tigress583 Gender dysphoria is an illness where hormones don't function properly, causing issues in the development of brain (where you can actually see concrete evidence with a scan). You can't compare a #1 person who developed gender dysphoria in womb (it's a biological reality and it's something out of their control) and #2 person who **fEeLs** different gender because they either convinced themselves, were convinced by people surrounding them, grew up in a certain culture or they are simply an individual who doesn't fit with their gender stereotype and for girls that's simply called tomboy... that's not an illness then, that's purely relying on your feelings, creating your reality with them, just like the tik tokers without DID lying to themselves they have it. CIS women not liking their breasts doesn't point to anything, just like disliking loud sounds doesn't automatically make you autistic. "CIS people can experience gender dysphoria though" doesn't that make you a person with gender dysphoria? as far as I know, non-anorexic individuals don't experience symptoms of anorexia which drive them to begin losing weight in life ruining ways (that would make them a person with anorexia, surprise surprise); just like a person without gender dysphoria doesn't feel uncomfortable in their body to the point of suicidal thoughts and they don't have the hungry and KILLING urge to change their gender (that makes them a person with gender dysphoria, surprise surprise!). If I feel like I'm a schizophrenic, but I actually don't have the symptoms and I'm just a delusional person who's lying to themselves, does that make me have schizophrenia? If I, a CIS person without gender dysphoria compare myself to a person who actually has it and it can be seen in their brain through MRI, can **my feelings** be compared to a person who has the same illness I'm imagining I have but in a biological reality? You either have gender dysphoria or you don't. **A person without gender dysphoria cannot experience gender dysphoria - if they experience gender dysphoria, that means that they have it and are apart of the 0.012-0017%.**

@@Tigress583 It was an example, just like my example with autism in other paragraph. Yes, you're correct, she does have gender dysphoria and people without the illness can never understand what she truly feels/goes through. I can't speak for the community as I'm not one of them, but just because she isn't the gender she feels like, doesn't mean that therapy can't help her (which has been freeing for other individuals with gender dysphoria) instead of life changing surgery that is thrown around WAY too freely and results in people now regretting it... IMO The surgery should be done in worst case scenario of gender dysphoria: when therapy hasn't helped, nothing else has helped and the individual is 100% ready knowing it's the only option left for them. You and I can't know/tell if she's one of the people that feel better with therapy and accepted the hard reality, or if (like you noted) she is unhappy with her gender now that she has detransitioned and will remain miserable.

@kekekek I definitely support trans people but I will disagree with things and I’m sorry but stopping kids from going through something that’s natural like puberty and will actually help them figure out if they’re trans or not isn’t something I’ll agree with. People try and try to stop biological stuff from happening and it’s just putting them in a sense of reality and sadly it’s not healthy. We need to go back to facts and logic doesn’t care about feeling, I feel like we’ve gotten to a point where all everyone cares about are peoples feeling witch yes I do too, but sometimes you gotta hurt someone feelings. But we might need two communities, one for the normal lgbtq+ who don’t scream and yell at people and a second for the unhinged lgbtq+ people.

trans woman who waited until adulthood to transition (despite always wanting to be female since my earlist memories and crippling dysphoria) here: i know it's anecdotal but since transitioning i stopped all self harm forms, and haven't had the slightest desire to self harm since feeling more comfy in my body. as mentioned in the video about the whole internalised homophobia thing, i tried to like men, tried dating them. it was like banging my head into a brick wall. not into it. not for me. only ever liked girls since forever and still only like girls. I don't associate with the community much or go to pride or anything like that. I'm pretty quiet and under the radar. glad i just get to assimilate and live and enjoy life now.

This is the number one problem I have with advocacy. I have absolutely no issues whatsoever when adults make the adult decision to transition if it brings them a sense of peace and congruency. But just because your transition was a success, that doesn't mean it will be a resounding success for everyone who feels the slightest iota of discomfort with being in their own skin and start advocating for minors. There should be space for a meaningful, supportive and nuanced conversation to help get to the root of someones dysphoria, not treat transition as a first-option and dress it up as a panacea that is reversible and relatively risk-free
@hotdog1214
@hotdog1214 Жыл бұрын
Agreed, it should be approached with more consideration, nuance and dare I say, caution. Transition should be the last resort, done only in adulthood when you can make the decision for yourself and comprehend the consequences. I don't understand why the approach of therapy and discussion is being thrown away in favour of the most drastic option (which isn't even suitable for some).

I doubt the whole "I knew I was trans when I was 8 or 10" narrative. They definitely made those claims up just so they can make their story more significant. People always misremember their memories and dramatise it when they can't remember it clearly. That or their parents encourage them.

When I was in college in 1996 at Cal State My girfriend and I took this class called "Human Sex Roles in Culture" - we figured it would be a quick 3 units. One day the professor brought 3 different dudes in to tell us their stories - one cross dresser, one tranny, and one post op tranny. The post op was totally bummed that he did it but he said that he had to be interviewed by 2 therapists and they really made sure he wanted to pull the trigger on cutting it off. He was in his 30s and needed verification from two professionals. Here we are 27 years later.... and the process of going through therapists, and being a grown adult has been thrown out the window.

The best thing you can do is not feel hopeless about it. If you are compassionate and empathetic while telling the truth (not sugar coated) out of love, that’s enough. Simply talking to people who struggle with this with a warm heart is enough even if at first they are stone hearted. And I don’t know if you have faith in God, but prayer nonetheless is a powerful thing as well. You do not need to fret or worry by putting this hopelessness and burden on your shoulders. There’s only so much you can do and that’s okay. Hope this helps- take care!

Hello from England, I, too am disabled, and house bound. I, too find this deeply concerning. Have you thought about looking for a site that has detransitioners on it, and offering to be there to be a listening ear? In the sense that they can talk to you in the comments, and that you tell them you will keep your notification bell on, and get back to them, when you can, with a reply? Just having one person to go to literally saves people from suicide. Letting them know you care, and are willing to interact with them. As, in this video it was made clear that detransitioners are left isolated, you could be the one person who takes the time to read their story, and respond with kindness and compassion. With your maturity, and caring heart, you definately are needed. So many feel lonely, and you could be the one to help, just by corresponding with them. Love saves lives, go, be a hero. Bless you.

@@dan0507 Hello Daniel, by the way, my eldest son is called Daniel. So, you have found a way to interact in person? That's a pretty unique thing in itself. Well if there be a way you could let them know that if they need someone to listen to, you should do it. So many young people are without an adult figure who will just listen. I totally understand that the online world can, and is, at times, incredibly toxic. I would suggest praying for them, God truly hears, ask him for guidance, and he will give it to you. If you don't have a Bible, I recommend the King James. Google Revelations 3 verse 20. God bless you, kind Sir.

The side effects of puberty blockers are actually that those that do it before natural puberty and avoid going through their natural puberty are NEVER able to achieve sexual gratification/satisfaction. With 100% of those who answered saying they NEVER experienced an orgasm. NEVER. They also use this to say "ew, why do you care about the sexual gratification of children?" Not of children, but of future adults who won’t be able to have healthy relationships and will be forced to live a live of voluntary or involuntary celibacy. And even if they find a soulmate, they will never feel sexual pleasure with their partner. As if that didn’t break enough heterosexual or gay couples, it is a BIG FACTOR in life after turning 18
