I feel like you basically told us your bias is Namjoon and your bias wrecker is Yoongi. If there is any docu series I recommend it's The Rise of Bangtan. Aneesa does an amazing job to show not only how they started but their struggles as well as triumphs.

And then in a live, Jin once said after mentioning how Namjoon somehow burned a pan but not the food in the pan and how if not for the other members Namjoon would have had to buy 300 new phones, "Sometimes I look at Namjoon and think, God is fair"

don't mind comments like the one about jin. it's true there are some assumptions that people fall into because of memes and jokes in the fandom that go a bit too far. I think not reacting to compilation videos is smart in that regard. you get a more nuanced impression with longer conversations. Saying jin likes to joke around and has a great comedic sense is still accurate without labeling him a clown. some people are just very busy protecting their idols they forget to actually assess the situation properly before reacting.

What I like most about your reaction is that you never make it a competition. Like this personality is better then the other, even when someone lack on something ( which is normal, and others lack in other things, we are humans after all) you just make comments on how this particular point can be improved. You also lightens up the beauty and interest spots in everyone’s personality, making all of them special on their own way. Showing How each persona has an important role in the group, and how the differences makes them stronger and unstoppable. And that resonates with BTS energy itself.

Never thought I'd enjoy watching someone read out comments! This was thoroughly enjoyable. Don't stop doing what you're doing on your channel. Can't wait for you to start doing their Vlives, especially Namjoon's Vlives... our leader is packed with wisdom for such a young guy.

personally for me i think jin is the mysterious one out of all the members because you can never know what he's thinking he can be shy, confident, funny and quiet introvert inside but extrovert outside. I dont know how to explain it jin is the person that the members will go too if the situation is awkward or embarrassing basically if they cant handle the situation they will go to him seokjin knows how to read a room if he know it is not in a good mood he would try to lighten it up so the members would not feel shy he always did it respectively tho seokjin is known as a manner idol because he is so respectful and polite to everyone you can search and everyone who met him have the said the same thing "polite and have a good personality" i hope you get to know him :)

the unwanted attention towards jimin isn't just "unwanted", it's vitriolic. he gets an IMMENSE IMMENSE about of hate for simply existing as he is. haters target his vulnerability, his old self-detrimental habits. he's still just as vulnerable, but not on official interviews or national television, the way he used to be. he only reveals that more "honest" side when he's live streaming or performing. he doesn't come online much either. good for him.

For me Jin is mysterious. He's also unpredictable and spontaneous

I wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy this but I really did. RM has made a few comments about what he thought of the others when they first joined. He didn’t relate to Jin at all and thought he’d never understand him but he learned that although Jin’s view of the world is simplistic he actually has some deep thoughts which he hangs his life on. Making yourself happy by making others happy comes from him. Then there was Namjoon’s first impression of Taehyung. He thought he was going to be trouble and in some ways he was right but Jin and Yoongi kept an eye on the mischievous boy and he’s grown into a wonderful young man. Jimin seems to feel comfortable in some interviews and group chats and in others he’s quiet. He gets on well with Jimmy Fallon and James Corden so his interactions with them are lively. There was one sad group chat where he was holding the tablet and silently reading the comments as they came in. Suddenly his face clouded over and Yoongi looked over at the comments and took the tablet off him. They all closed ranks around Jimin and were obviously concerned about something that had been written. We think someone had spewed hate at him. He’s such a sweet, caring person but he has been subjected to vitriol and death threats so it’s no wonder he likes to be private. Occasionally doing a video like this would be good but please don’t go down the line of doing lives where you’re reacting to a video but also replying to live comments. It’s messy and spoils the whole experience. If you want to interact live then just do that don’t mix it with a reaction, please. I just watched the original video. Thanks for making it available free. I loved the bit where they told Namjoon he was handsome. He’s had a lot of nasty comments about his looks because he doesn’t fit the beauty standard but he’s a handsome man and very charismatic. Just keep him out of the kitchen, away from the driving seat of a car and don’t let him tinker with objects, they disintegrate in his hands. Yoongi likes his own space but he will make exceptions especially for Taehyung. The maknaes see him as a father figure, I think, whereas RM is a guiding and respected big brother. Yoongi shared a room with Jin for years and found that the calm side of Jin suited him so they were good roomies. Jin says they can talk for hours on a car journey together. I’d love to be a fly on the wall when that happens. It’s sweet of Yoongi that he goes fishing with Jin because Jin likes fishing and he wants to support him. Jin’s silly side comes out when he’s with Jungkook.

This may sound a little strange but, I really love that you clarify certain areas aren't your expertise. I'm not a huge fan of general react videos, but when it's coming from someone within a profession or skill that could interpret or view a video differently, I really enjoy watching them cause I feel like I'm learning and still enjoying the content at the same time. I agree with compilation videos, a lot of them tend to be quite misleading or dishonest, but there's a few enjoyable creators out there! I'd recommend "jinnie eats" or "KOOKIESTAETAS" for something more member specific, or just for a good laugh or comfort. 😅 I'm sorry for the way Guillerma commented. I think comments like these tend to come from the scary toxic, "solo stan" side of kpop fandoms. To those comments, they're not worth interacting with cause they're just rude and generally over dramatic and wrong. (Sorry if I misinterpreted that, Guillerma, but you do be sounding kinda crazy~) But overall, I DID enjoy this video! You're awesome Max! You keep doing you, cause you're great at what you do. ☺

You are reading Taehyung very well as PURE AND RAW. Members says the same, Taehyung is so pure and untainted, and very honest when he approach somebody. Even if he dislikes somebody, you can notice easily in his expressions what he thinks. But he loves all members and love to get along with them, even if he has to sacrifice his own benefits for them. He is the one who let the others win in a RUN or match over himself in order to make them smile or feel more confident. He reads people very well and he does beautiful gestures to make them feel better...

The more of your videos and analysis I see the more I think you should watch "The rise of bangtan" series. It'll give you more insight than any one comment or fan really could because its showing you in chronological order who these boys are and how their values changed and what they're facing in a certain amount of time without overwhelming you. Especially for people like namjoon or jin and even yoongi to a degree. I think you'd enjoy the series for a multitude of reasons ❤❤❤

yes, namjoon is very lovely and endearing when he's not playing that "leader" role. he lets himself relax a LOT more and lets the members take the front wheel. he still steps in and acts as a point of convergence when things get slightly out of hand, but if you watch in the soop or bon voyage, you'd get more of a sense of how ... CUTE joonie is. you don't really see that more child-like side of him on official interviews. for example, these days, he's been raving about pokemon bread and pokemon stickers. he's been cycling around, raiding tons and tons (im being SO literal right now. i mean TONS) of convenience stores in an attempt to collect pokemon bread. he's a lot more endearing that you might realize.

I think the best way to understand their personality and the relationship between the different members is through their variety shows. But probably this episodes are too long for KZfaq, so I recommend watching their live on Vlive! Also because often they do vlives in groups of 2, 3 or 4 people.

when i see jin being open to be made fun of and be the center of joke, i think he has to be really confident with himself. its so hard to laugh along when someone makes fun of you but he does it and i really appreciate and love that about him

Max, I really love your reactions tbh I haven’t seen many people react to their communication skills before you did and I am really glad you decided to do it. It is insightful, helps me to really understand and appreciate them more. They have been showing a high level of perseverance and resilience throughout the years and the fact they remain together with a stronger bond than before never cease to amaze me.

When I first became an army I thought Yoongi was the mysterious type which is quite common for new armys but once I got to know them I understood Yoongi is definitely not the mysterious type. So for me Jin, Jimin and Hobi were more mysterious types but I soon realized that Hobi was the more camera aware type of person than mysterious. So for me Jimin and Jin are the ones who probably hold back the most.

I'm genuinely curious; do you listen to their music ? they've got incredible content, yes, but let's not forget that, primarily, they are musicians. artists. I think it's important to honor that. the transparency, that brutal honesty you are looking for? it's right there in their music, to an extent that might surprise you. I'd suggest starting at the very beginning, with the very first album, then going in order, so you can see their journeys. their music reflects the stage of life they were in at the time they made it. it's like their music has grown with them. their healing power of their other content is NOTHING compared to the healing power and the sheer catharsis that comes with their music. if not, I'd suggest listening to these specific member songs (along with the lyrics of course), just to get a general vibe: Namjoon: Forever Rain Seokjin: Abyss Yoongi: The Last (honesty I commented another song at first because I wanted to gatekeep this one) Hoseok: More Jimin: Filter (I adore how sinister this song and it's message is; it's a territory jimin hasn't ventured into before) Taehyung: Winter Bear Jungkook: Still With You

Hobi seems to have mastered using his Physicality and Expression to participate in Foreign Language Interviews without necessarily mastering English (outside of specific, very charming phrases). Getting a Korean Language interview is going to bring another level of communication. In English Interviews, it feels like Jimin turns on the ChimChim Charm and has fun Pestering RM, Flirting, and Making Sure he's made his presence known.

If a demographic survey ever goes around for bts biases I hope it also includes dual/multi biased people and ot7 biases. People often forget to include us because the idea of having only one bias is so prevalent. I myself am ot7 biased and can never choose between them and a lot of my friends have multiple biases. I am actually interested to see the demographics for all of these different combinations of biases.

I believe he use to take selfies all the time and post them but stopped doing it for a while in the past. I believe an ARMY asked him why he didn’t anymore and he said something along the lines that he felt ugly and too self conscious about himself. I think it might have to do with him winning things like most handsome man in the world and being in the public eye all the time, etc. He probably just started feeling pressured and self conscious…idk if this is true but I think it is…

Yes, the thing you said about bias and bias wrecker. It is 100% true. For example, my bias is Jin because I related with him the most whereas my bias wrecker is Jungkook because I aspire to be like him the most.

For me what really made them show their own personalities more was travelling. So Bon Voyage, or In the Soop just because putting people in an unfamiliar context always makes the dynamic show through. I loved Let’s BTS and Festas 🙌 Also Bangtan Bombs from behind Big Events and especially group Vlives where there is zero to no editing. Your doing a great job observing them in general. 👌🏼

In terms of bias it's very difficult to actually chart out because for many ARMYs it changes often. For me personally Jimin is what I would call my ultimate bias no matter what I'm always pulled towards him but that doesn't stop me from totally being in awe of the others. JK would also call my bias and Yoongi not far behind. Yet I have huge huge respect for Hobi, Jin and Joon for other reasons. And if I'm not feeling myself Tae can really show me there is nothing to fear in just being yourself, even on days where you feel off. So yeah I'm OT7 but I'm drawn to Jimin so much and I don't fully know why. Jimin as people have said keep certain thing very private and understandably so but on stage whether signing or dancing he let's it all out there is so much passion, love and other emotions in a way I think that might be part of why because in those moments he's showing all of who he is. Some say your bias is who you're closer to in personality but for me I don't believe so, just because I know me and Jimin are very different. If I was to compare personality the closest to me I think is Yoongi.

I like these types of videos. Please don't let negative comments get you down, we just sometimes get very passionate. You're doing great. And it's a shame the video was pulled but thank you for putting it up for free! There are plenty of compilation videos that try and lead you in one direction, but there are a lot of compilation videos that don't and you just see them having fun together and see how certain members have fun with other members. They are fun and charming and there are a lot of well-done ones that are easy to find. Vlive has a lot of natural interactions between members or solo videos to talk with fans. Sometimes they call each other on the phone. They are even better than interviews because it is just them being together, kind of like Run BTS! but less games and more them talking about whatever they want.

I think jinnie eats are perfection for compilation. I also don't watch compilations like I used to before during my baby army type. And I got you where you're going. I will recommend you this channel if you want to see compilations

I recomend "jinnie eats" or "be my jinnie" to watch compilations, their content is respectfull, real and include all the members

For the album "be" the boys interviewed each other (the interviews are available on youtube). Jin gets to interview Jimin, and it's very interesting to watch how he controls his body language to not show that he's nervous. Several times he begins to move his legs or hands but immediately controls himself. I find it incredible how aware he is of his body language and how attentive he is to how he is perceived by others. It may have to do with the fact that he is a dancer, as a dancer I can say that it may be related. Thank you for your reactions and greetings from Argentina.

I feel like Yoongi and I are like the chicken and the egg. I don’t know if I’m like him and that’s why he became my bias, or if he became my bias and as a result I’ve become more like him 😂 I think I have similarities with all of the members but I think I’m mostly like a weird mix between Namjoon and Yoongi! XD There really is so much good content when it comes to BTS! Watch at your own pace and don't feel overwhelmed, but I agree with the person who said to watch RM's Vlives. Seeing how his mind works when he's just speaking off the top of his head is incredible. His most recent Vlive would be a great one to get to because he gets really deep halfway through and it absolutely changed my whole perspective, which he often manages to do! :)

there's casual fans and army. the difference is that army are very AWARE of bts' and army's histories, why we have the bond we do, why we have the reputations we do etc. army are ride or die when it comes to bts. they're usually REALLY familiar with bts' lyrics because that's the members' primary communication outlet. I personally wouldn't call someone who hasn't put in the effort to read a majority, if not all, of bts' lyrics, front to back, army.

I agree my bias is Yoongi who I feel resembles to me the most and Namjoon is my bias wrecker because I admire him and wish to be a bit more like him, J Hope would be the next one because of how amazing he is and how professional he always is and well I could say how much I admire each and everyone in BTS, choosing a bias in BTS is so hard because they are all very admirable human beings

The documentary creator is not from HYBE nor did they get BTS' permission to do it, they are heavily biased as a kpop stan and have expressed their dislike with BTS doing their own documentary (which is ironic since they used BTS for fame and made a documentary without their permission)

That comment about Jin: that's probably a "solostan", toxic people who think they are defending their favorite as if they need to be defended. I am Jin biased (and Joon and Yoon) and I totally didn't feel you were being (what she's implying) condescendent or simplistic. I just roll my eyes at these people, report, block and out. You will encounter them with each member (more or less) and fun fact is they all claim the same about their favorite: YOU don't understand him, the company is restricting him, he is the best out of the 7, he should do X and Y (those are special solo-stans, we name them "mantis" as managerial antis, bc of their behaviour they are literally anti-BTS and the try to dictate or manage what their favorite does/should do). You would have fun exploring that field of... weird people. I feel when they fall into those narratives, they are really lacking something so strongly in their lives and even if I can laugh it away or report/block, in the end I wonder and hope they do get the help they need in the form they need. Don't worry about the mean comments! Of course you (and anyone other than themselves) cannot know each member perfectly. Your reaction videos are interesting and fun because you analyze and guess from what you simply see in the video that you watch for the first time. And your analysis is almost always correct. If not, you'll find out the truth in the comments or in the later videos. We're not playing a guessing game like you have to guess their personality right haha. I watch reaction videos because I want to see the pure first-time reactions, whether the reactors are surprised, impressed, or moved and share the joy together as if I also watch the video for the first time.

5:20 one thing I'd suggest is that you completely free bts' work style from other kpop groups' work style. there's a fundamental difference between bighit (when they started out) and other kpop companies; capital (in bts' case; the lack of capital). the amount of freedom bts have in the company, the extent of the say they have and their participation in their own art is something unprecedented in the industry, because the guy who founded bighit and created bts wanted to make a company which had more integrity and allowed it's artists more freedom. he wanted it to be collaborative. that's something a majority of kpop companies lack. there's a reason both bts and army were shunned from the kpop circle when we started out. let's just... think of bts and kpop as two completely different things. originally, bts debuted as a hip-hop group and from the very beginning, everything they stood for was the polar opposite of everything the rest of the kpop industry promoted and stood for.

Max you have yo watch The Rise of Bangtan it's a documentary with Many episodes. BTS here show all their vulnerability and human side.

I identify with his quirky tastes, and unconventional creativity, the way he can’t hide or mask his emotions or thoughts. The way he looses him self into his inner world. But we are also very different in other aspects
