Күн бұрын

Inside the "House of Tiny Tearaways", three families are working together to solve their parenting problems with the help and guidance of the clinical psychologist Dr. Tanya Byron; she has been given just five days to solve the families' eating, sleeping and behaviour problems in what she hopes it will be an environment of mutual support. Some of the kids have problems that will take months to crack, but she is hoping to make them head of a good start that favours this change.
Presenter Claudia Winkleman guides the audience through a week-long journey at TV’s first ever child and parent behaviour refuge. Here, Dr Tanya Bryon works with both children & parents to help solve their arguments and to understand the root of the issue.
With Tanya’s help and advice, the hope is that the families will be able to solve their problems during the six days that they'll be staying in the shared house - under Tanya Bryon's watchful eye.
Real Families brings you stories of modern day family life from around the world through the eyes of children, parents, and parenting experts.

Hannah Turner Hi again Hannah, I've enjoyed watching all of the episodes too. I felt like you were behaving like a typical 6 yr old. I love your accent and you said some of the cutest things. I loved it (in one of the episodes) when you were at a table with the little boy and his mother ran off bc she was arguing with your mother. And you told the little boy that you were there for him. Or something like that. What a sweet thing for a 6 year old to say. I'm happy that you and your sister turned out good and in college and your parents stayed together. I have a son who is now 42 and was just like your sister. His fits drove me crazy. But he grew up fine too. I'm glad y'all got to be a part of this program. I enjoyed all of the episodes and it looks like a lot of others did too.

Hannah Turner You delicious little thing! You will go far, I surmise! Your parents obviously adored both of you and now you're nothing but adorable. Congratulations, Hannah! It was YOU who put yourself through the hardwork to get to Uni. I'm so proud of you! Congrats to your parents. It's not always easy in the first few years, but they stuck it out!

despite my previous comment I have a theory . this is like a beta of the episode (not gone through a final edit) hence why the uploader has access to it. yes it's annoying but it could be why we can watch it for free . I watched a Katie Hopkins documentary and the title sequences were incomplete saying like "insert weight and week number here"which is what makes me think this is true in other cases as well

I got aggravated at the very beginning when the first dad said he gives in because he "hates noise". I'm sorry honey, once you have children, it's not about you. You cannot give in to your child throwing a tantrum just because you don't want to deal with parenting your kids.

As a 20-year pediatrician, I beg the public as parents to eliminate pacifiers at 1 year of age, they are HORRIBLE for sleep hygiene. Also, milk/sugar for bedtime without brushing leads to rotting of baby teeth...

My pediatrician told me to get rid of bottles and pacifiers when they turned 1 year old. They don’t need bottles once they’re getting most of their nutrition from solid food. I wonder why so many parents don’t listen to their drs and let their children do what’s developmentally appropriate.

These parents are afraid of their own toddlers. They can't stand to listen to them cry, they give in constantly, they aren't at all consistent. Their marriages are in shambles with no agreement between the parents! I've never seen anything like it. TAKE CONTROL. You are adults Mum and Dad. Act like it. Be firm, fair, and friendly but you are not their friends!!!!! It's just unbelievable to watch them. There is nothing wrong with the kids, the problem is with the parents.

Me neither. In our house the teens and adults eat with the little kids so we can have family time and show them good table manners. That’s probably why our siblings have better table manners than other children. Cause my parents eat when they eat. Do they eat a full meal with the kids: No because when the little guys eat we aren’t quiet hungry so our dinner happens after they go to bed. We do however sit with them and eat something so we can teach them

The parents are totally neurotic so they made this neurotic, wimpy kid that doesn't like getting dirty and screams like a baby girl when he doesn't get his way then the silly Father says "sowee Lewis, sowee", whilst rubbing him on the arm even though he's just acted like a total brat.

My parents didn't ask me what I wanted to eat. They made it and if I didn't eat, I wouldn't have dinner. My dad always used to say, jokingly, "eat that or I'm going to shove down your throat." I used to hide veggies in napkins and put it in the trash to pretend I ate it. They caught on. So then when older in summer, if I didn't like what we were having for dinner, I would raid the raspberry patch before dinner! lol.

Sandra Lee Exactly. When my kids were little, all I had to do was give them a look lol. It got so, that if we were in a store or supermarket, and they saw a kid throwing a tantrum they'd ask "Mommy what's wrong with him? Why is he acting like that"? Throw a fit!? I wish a child of mine would have thrown themselves around when told no. They'd still be laying there today lol. These parents do their kids no good putting up with the things I've seen in this video.

A parent is never pushed anywhere. They simply are not equipped to deal. The TODDLER is being a toddler..barely past an infant. Trying to control their every move will confuse them, anger them, make them feel bad and wrong. I love how nanny notes how negative the parents are to the children...and that's the truth of the matter in any "misbehaving" child.

@@doyouhearthepeoplesing2wrong: Jessica is 3 and that’s a toddler, Louis is 2 and a half and that’s a toddler, and Dante is almost 2 and that’s a toddler. Hannah is six and that’s a first grader. So your wrong and I’m right. Toddler is usually 1 and a half to 3 and a half. 3 and a half to 5 is preschooler, five is kindergartener and after that til they are 13 that’s just a kid. 13 to 18 is teenager, 18 and up is adult!!!! So there are toddlers in this video dumbie

I'd really like to watch but the music ruins it. Maybe take the music out and re-uploaded? From looking at the comments lots and lots of people have the same complaint.

My children had occasional tantrums but nothing like these, over my dead body would my children be hitting me. I don’t know what I would have done to be honest. lol I might have gone mad lol thank God my children were rather calm. My youngest was the destruction one though. Cut up my bed sheets with safety scissors, was peeing behind the recliner (we were blaming out black lab) colored the side of the couch with a hot pink marker, my favorite was when she Vaselined my moms long hair cat, her hair and my moms windows. Lol

Omg I wanted to throw that 'brown yog yog' in those parents' faces. What a ridiculous scene that was. That nearly three-year-old was given a toy and chocolate when he didn't eat any of his dinner? Those parents are laughable.

These are ALL simple Fixes, each kiddo is normal, the parents need TECHNIQUES & they must use them for ever without fail & kids will adapt to anything.....takes like 2 weeks of solid follow thru .... before kid sees it as permanent.....& no kid will starve, they will eat when realisation hits in the tummy! good luck to all the good parents on the show!!!

Dig, dig?? Even speaking to a child, that’s condescending and a bit pathetic. I don’t understand parents who refuse to allow their children to grow up. I always took such pride in my children reaching milestones and watching them grow. Keeping them as babies is counterproductive. Edit YOG, YOG?

Very odd sound editing, with all the voices being played at the same time and at different volumes.
@Clarachk

Lovely show... However, the sound editing makes it borderline unbearable. Specifically, the volume. I would like to actually hear what the narrator is saying. Instead, the music over takes what she is saying, as does the sound sound of the family interactions. It would be great if that was better balanced out.
