That's because psychics have no interest in money, all they care about is giving people vague open-ended messages from the spirit world, from spirits who might be called Dave or Michael or Mabel and who might be associated with water or the colour red or porcelain figures. Poor Gerald. He was treated so cruelly. And the other poor gentleman ending up homeless. Paul williams was greedy and heartless. The victims should all have been ruled to get their money back from Williams and he should have served longer. Horrible seeing him holding out his hand to his "adoptive mother" in the old film.

The judicial system is primarily set up to self serve. The magistrates courts are only to make money that's why they try and persuade to plea bargain even if your innocent because its a lesser penalty but a garentees penalty for them to make money from the fines and your birth certificate..... Correct. He certainly got away with this. Four months holiday camp for swindling the elderly. The justice system in this country is crazy. This is no punishment, he should have been forced to pay the money back. Its a licence to steal in the UK.

Given the high risk of scamming in the 'spiritual' industry (since it's impossible to prove the psychic or whoever is 'genuine'), shouldn't psychics/mediums/clairvoyants etc - basically anyone claiming to have such 'gifts' - offer their services for free and refuse monetary and other donations/gifts? 🤔

If I didn't have any empathy, and only cared about me and taking care of #1, then this would be the ultimate success for me. I would have gained a wealthy house/estate, tens of thousands of pounds, and probably other things besides, and the only punishment I got was a slap on the wrist. I only serve 4 months jailed, then I get to walk free and start all over again. Again, if I had no empathy, this would be a massive win for me. I could keep scamming as much as I wanted, get locked up for short periods of time, then go out and con more people, making tons of money. Why would he stop with punishments this lenient?
