I’m a nursing student and this is my first time trying it after a long day of clinical. Felt a little relief and heaviness on my heels. Definitely going to do this every night before bedtime hoping it’ll heal my PF. Thank you😭

Big kudos to Dr. Lin. I am a high level pro pickleball player who has had nagging heel pain on and off. DPTs I’ve consulted never provided a regimen this thorough to deal with heel pain, or developing plantar fasciitis. It works phenomenally! I do this at night before bed and in the morning when I wake up, and as soon as possible after training sessions. The result is no to minimal pain. I went from hobbling to absolute no pain after one treatment. Thx for keeping me in the game!

@@ChrisForestDweller Feels so much better. My routine is , before bed, when I wake up, before I train or play, between tournament matches, after I train or play. If I feel I need extra I do an abbreviated session. I try to spend about 3 mins per area or 30 strokes each area.

When I used the massage gun I was in so much pain I couldn’t walk, it made it so sore and tender. Maybe I had it to high or did it to much. I have plantar fasciitis 😢. Considering surgery

I use the bullet head on my heel and the pain is probably a nine out of 10 for the first minute but eventually after a few minutes the pain is gone. Thanks.

Thanks Dr for a great video. Would it also e helpful to 1) massage the forefoot and 2) after the therapy you demonstrated to the use either 1: an ice foot massage roller OR 2: apply an ice pack or an ice massage to the affected area to help reduce inflammation and provide pain relief? 🤓

at first I thought maybe this is going to damage everything because it's the exact opposite of what all the other videos are saying... but there is less heel pain after a few minutes. Let's see what happens tomorrow. Thank you :)

sounds promising! How did it feel the day after??
@zephyrkhambatta
@zephyrkhambatta Жыл бұрын
@@GriffinLisuk pretty much better actually. I was transitioning to barefoot walking and running a few days earlier (probably too quick a transition), but after this and then 2 days of slow and mindful walking with barefoot shoes (don’t land hard on the heel but land softly and slowly) - means more steps, and a lot more work for the thighs to lift up the shins and only let the feet come down softly, and a long stretching session for the legs and calves, the pain is Gone for now. Maybe I’m speaking too soon, but I’ll keep up the slow mindful walking and stretching.

Does this just reduce pain in the morning or does reducing the pain contribute to healing it? Ive had PF for years now
@akbasak29
@akbasak29 Жыл бұрын
I have been reading a lot, and it seems there are a few things we should do to have healing in 6-18 months. 1. Always wear supportive shoes or inserts. Never walk on hard surfaces with bare feet. 2. Do plantar fasciitis specific stretches. One is where you cross your leg over your knee and manually flex your foot and push your toes towards your shin. 3. Roll feet on frozen water bottles. 4. Wear pf splints at night. 5 Do massages like he shows here. 6 strengthen calf muscles every day. From what I read religiously doing these things can make it go away in 1/2 to 1 1/2 years.
@Catalonia
@Catalonia Жыл бұрын
@@akbasak29 ironically, going the other way has helped me more: toe spreaders, barefoot wide box shoes, compression socks. All the inserts did was make it feel better on my feet. But worse the next morning
@nonameface2811
@nonameface2811 7 ай бұрын
Yea I've noticed inserts in my shoes can be incredibly painful and you never get used to them either. Have read many places online where people agree for the most part that theyre too painful. Rule of thumb if it hurts dont do it@@Catalonia

Hi! I have a nerve damage (or what I think is nerve damage) left side of stomach(just next to bellybutton)and going up to the lowest left rib. It's been almost a year now. I can't run or do any serious exercise, because I get this stabbing pain in that area, and it goes away in two weeks when I don't do anything. Fortunately I can walk as much as I want. How can I get this fixed? It happened when I was doing some weird stretching on my back and legs facing the wall in front of me. And I went to the shower and I felt pain on the lower rib when moving around. I rested for a week, pain gone, and then I had to go to a endurance test(running on a treadmill) and I gave it my all, no pain after it or anything. But the next day and like 4 days after it my whole stomach area was numb and painful. So that's how it started last year. So the pain started on the rib, but I feel it more on the stomach most of the time. But when I exercise or lift something heavy, the nerve pain is felt on the lower ribs too. Thank you! Also it starts to hurt when I do any kind of stretching to it as well. Then I have to not do anything for 2 weeks, and the pain goes away. Sucks as well, I'm 21 and I love sports and training hard haha My doctor recommended me to take ibuprofen 3 times a day for 1 week. And she sent me to a physio therapist, where I haven't gone yet. Havent done the ibuprofen stuff as well, because I don't know if I should trust her.
