Hi Terry, thanks for the video! I remember seeing Penitentiary at the movies. Then I found out Leon was married to Jayne Kennedy and I went Wow! I had the Ebony magazine with them on the cover and I used to love the photos of Jayne wearing the red & white sweatband and sportswear in the Coke-a-Cola ads. Leon and Jayne formed a production company called Jaleon and he compiled a video of her interviewing several top athletes. He showed it to the networks and that's how she got her show on NFL Today; "Jayne Kennedy's All-Stars" aired Saturday afternoons. I wasn't into sports commentating but I loved to watch her. For me she was the first black woman sports commentator and an inspiration that women can rise to fabulous heights in sports broadcasting. Leon was a definite asset in shaping Jayne's sports broadcasting career.🌿

Thankz Swoop! I too was a fan of "Leon Isaac Kennedy" back in the day. He was so popular in the black community but never got that so call "Cross-Over" hit which would've made him a bonefide star in general. I remember there were talks in the early 80s about L.I.K. portraying "Sugar Ray Leonard" in a bio becuz of the obvious resemblance( RB singer 'Usher' was just an infant at this time). L.I.K. was a special talent and should've been a bigger star. So glad to hear that he's happy & living fine.😃

I recall a reporter from either Ebony or Essence magazine that conducted a very painful interview with the both of them as there marriage was dissolving. Jayne was very distressed, but Leon was indifferent and apathetic. My opinion is that he wanted all of the attention and was bothered by the fact that his beautiful, athletic but feminine wife was getting more looks than he did. They have moved on, Jayne has children with her 2nd husband (a Mr. Overton) and last I heard they're doing well, married for many years.
