Remington Electric Shaver Battery Replacement.
Amazon:
AA battery rex.red/nimh-aa-battery *
Multimeter tester rex.red/multimeter-tester *
Soldering iron kit rex.red/soldering-iron-kit *
Pry tools for electronics rex.red/pry-tools-for-electro... *
The electric shaver has a weak battery and needs to be replaced.
The Remington Electric shaver model number R6130 or R-6130. This method can be used for most electric shavers.
Original batteries in this model are 1600 MAh standard AA size.
You can use any AA 1.2V or 1.5V rechargeable NiMh battery. For your shaver the batteries might be different.
Instead of using expensive special tabbed electric shaver batteries, I use Eneloop Ni-Mh rechargeable batteries.

Thanks I followed your directions and replaced the batter in R7150 . It worked very well and stopped me throwing my fathers expensive electric shaver into the rubbish. I also sharpened the blades by rubbing them on a fine carbrundum or sharpening stone. The shaver is now like new. Thankyou again

Just replaced the batteries on my Remington R-5150. My first time soldering, and it wasn't pretty, but it worked. Not having to throw out a perfectly good shaver feels great. My first shave with it was the best I've ever had. Maybe not the closest, but definitely the most satisfying. Thanks for your excellent instruction!

thank you. Really helped me change the batteries in my Remington 6500 shaver. Yellow was positive for me as well, the Red negative. Thanks for showing that as the original Chinese batteries showed no polarity.

Wow. What a great video. I fixed my old Remington R6150. Used Energizer NH15BP-2 batteries (2400 mAH). Soldering made me a little nervous though. I think I need a beer now. Thank you for creating this video.

You never glued the temperature sensing thermistor back onto the battery in the video.. This regulates the charging i believe. ? I accidently broke mine while removing the batteries. Do you happen to know what value of thermistor that is?

Interesting to see shaver uses NiMH rechargeables. Anyone know what charging regime is used and what recharge time is?

Thank you. It’s unfortunate that they make it this difficult to change the batteries. Obviously they want us to just throw the razor away and buy a new one. Good for the economy maybe but not great for the environment.
