Thanks a ton! He really wanted to do this completely by himself with no input from me!

I always put a sheet of Mylar between the inside cover and the backboard before doing ball bearing work. Otherwise, the interior cover inks will often transfer to the board underneath. The Mylar sheet prevents that from happening.

That is a smart idea!

I have my Hulk 180 in for a Roy Thomas sig/remarque :) i'm pumped. I did some work/cleaning/pressing on it as well using your methods and chamfer board. Thanks!

@@ImmaculateComics doesn't look like I can attach pics. Maybe it's just because I'm on my phone app.

I really do not understand why people think because he says his name it's not a cameo. "A brief appearance of a prominent actor or celebrity, as in a single scene of a motion picture." This is a Wendigo/Hulk story, which a Wolverine cameo at the end. As someone who bought all my books based on the "wolverine appearance" notation in price guides, I can assure you I would have been seriously disappointed when I got this and read it only to find Wolverine in one panel. I bought some Dr Strange books that supposedly had X-Men appearances (for example) and they were only tiny little figures in the background of a single panel. Super disappointed spending that hard earned money as a child. Now of course as an adult I love it because those tiny cameos are what I hunt and not really a good way to find them anymore.

there's an early appearance of Spider-Man in an X-men book and it ended up being a robot if I remember correctly. I remember being bummed out at a child reading that.

Hey Rick, I have noticed that when I use Immacuclean on Silver Age books, it completely removes the gloss from the paper. This happens even though I wipe with water after applying Immacuclean. I can "reshine" the paper after it dries by running a bone folder over the entire cover and then polishing with a dry cotton round. But is there something I should be doing differently to avoid the loss of gloss?

no not really, its typically not really gone. you just have to align the fibers so it looks glossy again. I literally use a wool sock the same way you use a cotton round!
