Having in-work support has been great for me in connection with my autism (it'll need to expand now to cover my recently diagnosed ADHD). Hopefully yours will work out great! Definitely interested in hearing in future videos about any reasonable adjustments you get for work and how you get on with Elvanse. Also, anything you've found out on regulating emotions as I really struggle with this and hope to God the ADHD meds will help when I start them. Cheers

I'd be interested in what kind of support you've received in work if you're happy to share. I haven't had much experience with it but I did inform my new employer before I started and they've been really helpful with arranging the ATW I've been awarded. A huge thing I feel like I'm struggling with is using a windows laptop. I've mentioned it a few times and how I find a MacBook easier to work with but I've been told it's not an option. I can't justify it verbally but for perspective, I did well in high school but never completed my IT GCSE partly because I regularly skipped class because I struggled so much using a computer. Regulating emotions is huge and I think counseling and understanding the origins of my thought patterns and the emotions they trigger has been the most helpful. I have noticed some effects from Xagg but haven't connected the dots enough to vouch for a strong correlation.

Xaggatin had more adverse metsl effects for me. elvanse is and has been 100% to test my theory on how effective it was I stopped for a feed days and can really see the difference. The issue is I can’t not take it otherwise my days don’t go at all to plan. Definitely recommend if your going for elvanse is very expensive and it’s very much a medication to take regular.

oh wow, I haven't tried it yet I'm slightly nervous to feel the difference. I think I do work well on Xagg I just don't always react the same, some days I feel like it does very little and all I have are side effects, but some days it works. I'm hoping I can try Elvanse and it can give me a better perspective on if Xagg did or didn't work for me at all. Hopefully the anxiety I get more regularly now will start to disappear.

Hi Sian, I have recently been diagnosed with ADHD and will be starting titration very soon. I am also off to Jamaica, did you look into taking your medication with you?
@SianKatie Жыл бұрын
Hey, ah wonderful, I'm excited for you! Yes, I requested a letter from my Psychiatrist stating what medication I'm taking and for what purposes and kindly requesting I am able to enter the country with my medication but to be honest, nobody checked! Plus it should only be one bottle depending on how long you're going for.

@@SianKatie Great, thanks for getting back to me! Really appreciate it. I've watched a couple of your videos now and I can relate, with the rollercoaster of emotions that you have been through the diagnosis process (I have struggled to communicate this with others - but to know others have a shared or similar experience is great). Thank you for sharing this with us, I'll be sure to watch your videos that are the next steps in my journey 😊.

Really appreciate your comments and I’m so happy to hear you feel less alone. It can feel like a burden but there are so many others experiencing similar emotions and always help out there. Hope to create something that resonates with you again in the future 🫶🏼
