@@coffinfeeder7732 Some of us are... adding tons of cayenne into fuckin everything over here. But my dad thinks he likes "pretty spicy food" cos he can handle the super mild green Tabasco. Which I suppose is probably genuinely more spicy than his peers can usually deal with. But like yeah I know people for whom black pepper is too spicy sometimes.. I always used to try spicy things since 5 years just as a weird exciting experience, seeing if I could handle it.. I guess I've built up resilience where people were often kept away from spicy foods altogether in the UK until they stopped being children... and then a korma seemed really hot.

Cactus (Nopales) ain't sugary. The fruit (Tunas/Prickly Pear) is very sugary and quite delicious though. I wonder if the candy was nopal flavor or prickly pear flavor.
@jameswoodard43044 жыл бұрын
I'm sure it was nopal. They said it had a cucumber smell/flavor. The prickly pear fruit itself would certainly have given it a tangy fruity flavor and it would probably be purple instead of green.

The pulparindo and the rockaleta, the "loli from last time" are unsurprisingly both mexican candy. And yes we absolutely love this stuff, salty and spicy "candy" mixed with sugar. That wasn't even the spiciest version of a pulparindo. I don't know why we love this kind of candy so much, its just a different food culture very centered around eating chile with everything, but i find it hilarious when people from other countries hate them and complain about how they are not really sweet and shouldn't be called candy lol. Please continue to eat more mexican stuff

Much love from the Philippines! 💌 As a fan, I've always hoped to see one of the snacks from here be featured in an Ashens video. Ube is a purple yam, and it is a sweet treat. The specific Ube cake is a popular snack for kids, and it comes in like 5 great flavors! Pandan*, Melon, Mocha, Ube, and something else I forget. They are excitingly plain! But not bad if you need something in your belly. p.s. I'm not sure how they are baked, because sometimes if you open one, the outer brown part is 'peeled off' from the colored, spongy inside. * Pandan is a natural green-colored flavoring from a plant. It's often paired with coconut.
