I spend a week with the 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring to see what it's like to live with the 11th gen Accord. With a hybrid-heavy lineup for this new generation, the 2023 Accord focuses on an improved hybrid experience compared to the last generation and combines it with best-in-class comfort and amenities in my opinion. Overall, it retains it's crown as one of the nicest driving and most refined midsize sedans in the segment and while some of the excitement of the old 2.0T is lost, the 2023 Accord Hybrid should please the mainstream buyer even more than before. What do you think about the 2023 Honda Accord? Thanks to Honda for providing this vehicle to review!

Great review, but that car sounds LOUD with road and wind noise. Also, I like that you highlighted the new safety cage in the Accord, most reviewers skip that part. It’s shocking it’s taken auto manufacturers this long to get passenger cars to adopt to large vehicles when they are the ones making them.

@harisqureshi7469
@harisqureshi7469 Жыл бұрын
Not sure who this question is for but I'll go ahead and answer it. To have regen "always on" you need to click the left paddle a few times and then hold it on the last time. this will keep it on regardless. The only time it will turn off is if you set cruise control, and cancell it, etc. And, I have a white 2023 Sport Hybrid with just over 4000 miles and I dont mind the ride one bit. The wheels look amazing so its an ok trade off. Getting 52MPG using max regen. I drive 60-70MPH in congested traffic and in the slow lane so maybe thats why but I have 0 complaints, this car is really nice, doesnt have me yearning for an Acura, or anything nicer, this is more than enouch for years and years to come :)

I have a 2021, 10th Gen 2.0T Touring and I absolutely love the car! No issues at all! Every time I get my service done at the Honda dealership they offer to buy my car! Apparently, the 2.0T’s are highly desirable right now. I will admit, the new accord is starting to grow on me. I’ll have to test drive a touring model to see if I like it! Enjoy your reviews and thanks for putting in all the effort. A couple of notes: when in sport mode, the engine acceleration sound is simulated and piped through the audio system. Also, do not buy this car if you drive a lot of highway miles. With the 19 inch wheels and stock tires, there is a lot of road noise entering the cabin. You also feel every bump in the road. Honda really dropped the ball on noise and ride mitigation with this model (I’m about 1300 miles into a 2024 hybrid touring). Researching everything I can to improve the ride. Best advice I’m hearing is dropping down to either 17 or 18 inch wheels and replacing the tires. Happy with other aspects of the car, and a previous owner of a 2015 Accord EX-L

Matt I totally agree with you. This is a better car than the previous generation, however there are two things I personally do not like and that’s the honeycomb vent and the location of the 12 inch display. This has become so obstructive in cars. And last but not least, I would gladly swap the heads up display for a heated steering wheel which can be a dealbreaker for some. That said I am totally happy with Legacy Touring XT that left no option off the table. You are doing a great job Matt.

Why did you choose the sport over the touring?
@harisqureshi7469
@harisqureshi7469 2 ай бұрын
@@grandmastagrimm8773 I chose the Sport trim over the Touring because it was $7,000 less. I plan to keep this car for 10+ years, assuming the hybrid battery lasts that long, so spending less upfront made sense to me. I needed a hybrid and wasn't interested in the EX or LX 1.5T models due to their bad reputation. My previous car was a 2018 Sport 1.5T, and despite taking good care of it, I encountered numerous motor issues. (Honda really needs to recall it...) The Touring trim does have some nice features like Bose audio, a heads-up display, heated and cooled seats, Google built-in, and rear AC vents. However, in my day-to-day use, I don't miss these features or find them necessary. The stock audio system is sufficient for me, and I love listening to music while driving. I rarely have passengers in the back, so the rear AC vents are not important. Living in Texas, I'm actually relieved not to have leather seats, which can get very hot in the summer. I also believe the cloth seats will age better and are easier to clean. After one year and 20,000 miles, my car has been problem-free. I still get around 55 MPG (52 when calculated at the pump), and my tires are in great condition because I maintain the correct PSI. I've done three oil changes and plan to rotate the tires at the next oil change. The HondaLink app is great for turning on the car and AC remotely, making it very comfortable to get into a cool car during the summer. I truly have 0 complaints! Sometimes (just me being greedy is all lol) I wish I had gotten maybe a TLX (for the 2.0t) or even the Type-S, or an Integra, but I remember how much bigger and comfortable and economical the accord is, and just how "cheap" it is to own and maintain. :) I drive a lot- and in TONS of traffic and after a long day I like to sit back and relax on the drive home and even in traffic, I keep distance from me and the car in front of me, and we are a ok.

Great car with all the features and design but terrible seats which is the only flaw but big one. Seat doesn't go up and down completely but tilt up and down only from front for driver seat. Passenger seat does not have tilting option either. Seats dipped too much, so lack of cushioning as well and considering top touring model, will give seats 1/10. If we ignore seats, then easily 8/10 for touring model. Honda needs to do much better job with seats!

For me the accord sits too low to the ground hampering ingress and egress. The infotainment system looks great compared to my slow responding and frequent freeze ups on my Honda Ridgeline (2020). The heated steering on my honda is absolutely wonderful (bad omission on the accord) and my RTL-E stereo sounds great. I don't have cooled seats but have experienced them in a Mazda (wonderful in southern climates). The beltline looks high in the accord hampering outside visability (it looks almost chin level on you). As far as smoothness, it seems to be going the Camry route and abandoning its sporty roots. The 2.0T will be sorely missed. I understand the emissions and mpg concerns. I have had two accords and loved them, but they are a bit noisy on the highway. The accord coupe I had was the v/6 auto EXL. I would love to get my hands on a low mileage one of those as it had no problems for me. As always Matt, great job with your review.

At the end of the day the accord was and is an excellent family sedan to move people and be efficient doing that. The sportiness hopefully will be found elsewhere in Honda's lineup

The problems I find with the 2023 Honda Accord: 1. No All Wheel Drive is available 2. No heated steering Wheel is available 3. No spare tire is available 4. No XM Radio (in the US) for some reason if you get one in Canada it comes with XM Radio, so Honda, there is no excuse. If a 2023 or 2024 car missing all of these features is fine for you, then get one. Hopefully, by the time 2025 comes around these glaring deficiencies will be resolved. Latest news as of January 2024 Honda Parts will sell you a spare tire kit for approximately $500.

I think the long nose is the worst feature, front overhang seems too large. I am sure buyers of this car will like it overall. Solid car top to bottom. The Sonata will get quite a bit better mileage but quite a bit less power. The Sonata hybrid front is one I do not like much either.

Prefer the the previous generation. Don't like the exterior design of this, unbelievable they discontinued the 2.0t engine. First we had to deal with the ugly tail light of the previous gen, now this bland looking, emotionless thingy. Their design team needs to be more creative. Feels like Honda as lost focus or have forgotten why their customers stick to them. Skipping till the next generation or maybe it's time to switch
