Thanks for this video. About a year ago I watched a UK military departures video. Most of the pilots after takeoff would rock their wings to the spectators so I was looking for it this time. 5 or so wing dips, and 5 wing rocks. Thumbs up to the Il pilot.

Yes, but Brits put Rafale always among the last to flight and even to leave. Not coincidence, most likely they don't like Rafale's because it is much better than Typhoone or F-35?

Hi Bill. Two ticketed options.....either go to Park and View areas or if you have a FRIAT multi day ticket you can be in the grand stand on Monday.

Thomas Beting hi Thomas i was in the FRIAT area. Highly recommend but if you are keen you need to book now as almost sold out. You need a mach 3 or mach 2 ticket to include departures day on monday. Sorry but havent been to viewing village so cannot help there. Good luck with whatever option.

The Rafale was painted to highlight the colors and symbols of the French Air Force, Armée de l’air. The 16's I'm not quite sure which ones you mean. The ones with the most paint were the Turk 16 and Belgian 16, but there was also Dutch 16's and US 16's from Spangdahlem as well. What part of the vid were they?

I think you are referring to the Belgian Air Force F-16s, FA-70 and FA-132.

Hi Jack. Tickets can be purchased online from RIAT website and available soon apparently. A one day Park and View ticket can be bought or a multi day Mach2 or Mach 3 ticket (giving you access to grandstand on Monday departures plus 3-5 other days of airshow)

Was challenging. Most zooming highlighted the haze especially as you say near the tarmac.

normally purchase a ticket and go early to park and view east (or west if east is full) but I have just checked on website which says it is sold out unfortunately. Please check for your self to confirm or someone else may have another option for you.

Excellent you have a ticket! Unless you have a FRIAT Mach Two or Three ticket then your options are park and view east (line up and take off shots) or west where some of the aircraft will be high and some will stay low until the end of the runway. Best chances are east although will be super busy. Good luck!

Good question Ted! As they are almost at extinction we need weekly updates on flying F4's and really happy for others to add solid updates here on world status. The F4's at RIAT were Greek , USA has the Collings Foundation F4D flying but I think they have retired F4 drones recently. Maybe Iran, Turkey, Japan and South Korea may still have some flying?

Interesting Nigel, by the way your video was excellent. Very good job keeping the aircraft in the center, with proper zoom to maintain perspective, and never out of focus
