The Dallas Morning News

6 жыл бұрын

Richard Overton, 111, will turn 112 on May 11, 2018. He wakes up some time between 3 and 5 a.m., and immediately lights up his first cigar. He smokes about 15 cigars a day. He relies on four nurses and two family members to help him get through the day. Most of his days are spent greeting visitors on his front porch in Austin, Texas. He says his secret to living a long life is "just keep living, don't die."

GABE Swindler same with my great grandmother, mine would never leave the farm. We took her to live with us in the city and she got sick real quick. Resting all day is not good for anybody. It’s like taking care of the cows and chickens drives her to live. Like the thought of “I have to wake up, and if I don’t who will feed the cow”.
